Learning 3dSmax!!

Our team has never done the animation contest before, and I would like to get our animation team going......but I dont really know 3dSmax that well....Any teams near Baltimore willing to give some mentorship.....or how did everyone else learn, I think they have stopped all workshops in our area. Any other idieas on how i could get some help learning the animation?? Thanks! ;)

we're not near baltimore but we would be happy to help you if you have some questions. A member of our team will PM you in a bit with specifics.

I've just delved into the world of 3ds max this year. Since our team has never done the animation competion we've decided to wait till next year. I'll most likely be the one working with it so I've been working with the tutorials. So far I've created a few pictures using deformable polygons and one avi. movie of an explosion (I followed the basic tutorial for it but I added my own stuff too). I'll have to post the movie later. If I ever have any questions I'll be sure to post them.
Later.

Do a search on "explosions" and you'll find the answer. Walways search before you post.

**DO THE OFFICIAL TUTORIALS!**

you'd be REALLY surprised to see how much you can learn from those...

the official box you get has a book + plus a CD if i'm not wrong...

i'd run over most of them (especially the basics of modelling and NURBS if you'd into that kind of thing...).
