All the Canadian teams my...uhh, rear end.

There are over 40 Canadian teams this year.

jonathan lall 10-01-2003 18:01

Harrison stole my list! For the Canadian teams anyway.

I think the strong teams last year will all do pretty well...

the 60's, which include 60, 61, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, and 69

95 had a great ball robot last year, maybe they can stack bins just as fast this year.

111 always have a impressive robot.

The 170's were pretty impressive too in the past years, including 173, 175, 177

I personally can't wait to see what 16 & 312, 217, 308 and 469 come up with this year.

yeah....ramp riot does ring a bell...i believe that Team 357 won this year...lol....

Watch out the for us this year...(not to sound cocky)

I'd say keep an eye out for 122, 341, 25, 16, 21, and 272..

Ending the drought

As long as I have been involved with FIRST (since '98), three of the most dominant teams have been 47, 111, 254. Despite their fantastic robots over the past few years and many regional victories, these three teams have yet to win a national championship. I think that this will be the year that one of them (maybe more, isn't that a scary though?) will break the drought and emerge as the winner of the championship event.

*Cough*Team 180(SPAM)*Cough*

DanLevin247 10-01-2003 20:08

I think the "elite" teams from years past will emerge as favorites again this year, but don't be afraid to add 247 to that list, we're comin' up faster than you'll ever realize

BIG COMPETOR

Team 2357 is going to be really hot this year.

I hear that there robot is already completed, and that they will most likely make it to national, and be a serious contender.

I'm looking out for them!:yikes:

The gm sweep

64, 65, 66, 67, 68 in some combo or maybee even 2 on 2 in the national final

OK OK OK.... Im going out on a limb here but "I" predict the trio in the winners circle for the finals at the Nationals to be:
237 as they have the expertise in auto driving with a great mechanical team and they will pick......
759 as they were the dark horse last year who managed to hold their own as the "rookie" team from England against 237 last year and they will pursuade 237 to also pick 388 as they have the largest heart and a most generous nature, they also can build a "mean bot".

viper 10-01-2003 22:35

i am expecting team 60, 64, beatty(71), rage(?), and buzz(?) to do well.. like every year.....................

hopefully we will do well...

Ianworld 10-01-2003 22:46

Teams other than mine...

Chief Delphi 47 and their partners in crime the Technokats 48. I don't know if their robots were that amazing in terms of performance but as for technological feats they were pretty $@#$@#$@#$@# cool.

121 is/was good last year.

237 was good.

More than that i didn't get to see much of. My recollection of team number from the nationals isn't that great and my local regional didn't have any competition smashing bots. This year we should be one though ^_^

OneAngryDaisy 10-01-2003 22:59

This thread was started way too early.. It's like selecting which horse will win the Kentucky Derby before seeing the horses themselves- all based on reputation...

Harrison 10-01-2003 23:02

48 is Delphi E.L.I.T.E., not the Technokats....

unless I'm mistaken?
