More clarification on the suction rules

According to those rules about not allowing to attach yourself to the top of the ramp, can we attach ourselves for a small amount of time and then continue on?

Or for a simplier version: Can we use a material on the wheels which allows it to stick onto the HDCP, as long as the robot is still able to drive?

I don't think there is a rule against using suction cups on the surface of the ramp, unless I missed an update.

yes as of update 2 you can stick to the floor all you want but the walls are a diferent story

So then, suction cups are allowed?

I meant that if I atach a sticky substence to the wheels that make it have near pernament traction on the HDCP surface, and the robot can still drive around (not attached to one location throughout the whole round), is that legal?

I need more clarification on what you mean by "sticky" If you want to put soft rubber or something on your wheels thats fine, if you want to actually put a sticky gel substance on you wheels, thats not allowed.

You don't even need to drive around you can shoot up to the top and just throw down a rubber "Anchor" of sorts and just stay there.

So does this mean any type of suction cups are allowed??

Any type of suction cup that you can buy off the shelf, or make using material that isn't on the restricted parts list, are ok, as long as they don't have a "vacuum" device that provides suction other than the compressor itself.

Also, no metal touching. Probably no water either :)
