Stack Attack PDA Scoring Calculator

Stack Attack Calculator for Palm OS Handhelds

It is not much, but for anyone with a Palm OS based Handheld, who is running through as many scoring scenarios as I am, this may help. This application is just my first shot. I wanted to get something out quickly, and therefor it is not the most streamlined calculator, but it works. I would appreciate any feedback on the operation, or any bugs that may be found and I will try and remedy them as identified.

Good luck to all the teams out there, and I hope this application can be useful in ensuring that all teams keep those scores as high as possible

There are five files contained in the .zip file. All five need to be installed on the handheld for the calculator to work.

Please post it when you get it up. I fall in that category. Plus there was one up but for some reason it doesn't work.

I've seen one somewhere online, but I didn't check it out. I know that doesn't help you much, but I'm about halfway done with my version. Who knows when I'll get around to getting it done :)

I'll be waiting for that Pocket PC version! I just bought the 1910 iPAQ and I love it! I'm just hoping that it will maybe aid in my complete lack of organization. :D

small problem

I just noticed this when I was playing around with the program. If the score is tied, neither score is doubled when the qualification points are calculated. Other than that, looks great.

I programmed my graphing calculator to something of this sort. I dont have a pda, so i cant say if its much the same interface, but it works nonetheless.

I think the ruling is that if the score is tied in qualification rounds, both teams get the total number of points scored, i.e. Red and blue team get 50 points, total QP's would be 100. Not sure though.

Thanks for the Testing

Thanks for the Testing, It has been a very hectic season so far, and to top it all off, my handheld is broken and I am waiting for a replacement to be sent. Basically, I haven't been able to test the application as I would normally like.

You are right about the score in the event of a tie. Rule SC14 says that all four teams get the combination of both Blue and Red alliance scores. I will make this fix and repost - when I have resolved my handheld problems.

I have made some significant changes in the code to make the whole thing work faster, but it remains untested. Look for the new version coming soon.

Thanks again and if anyone else has any suggestions or corrections, please let me know and I will work them into the next version.
