Insomnia... whee!

Well, its the middle of the night, and I can't sleep. Any other insomniacs lurking aound in the midnight hours?

Kristina 13-01-2003 05:06

I wouldn't consider it insomia, I just say that I'm in the "college time zone" where people don't start going to bed til at least 2am (hey, kinda like building season!). I'm up since I don't have class tomorrow...or Fridays for that fact :)

FotoPlasma 13-01-2003 05:09

Until late January, I start class at 10am, so I'll be around late (like now) for a while.

I'm not up all night, so it's not insomnia, but I get to bed rather late, usually. For the past few weeks, my average bedtime has been 2:58am, unintentionally.

Noah 13-01-2003 05:27

Gah... lucky college kids...

DanLevin247 13-01-2003 15:16

Last week, there were several nights that I didn't go to sleep till around 4am. It was terrbile, my insomnia comes, and goes.

hacksaw692 13-01-2003 23:49

I wouldn't say that I have insomnia. I'm more of a night owl. For some strange reason or another, I like to do work during the late, late hours (or early, depending on how you look at it). I'm more productive and active at night. Although, people tend to worry about the amount of sleep i get. *shrugs* I suppose i make up for it on the weekends. But when it's the building period, there's no hope of me getting sleep for 6 weeks. *sighs* The past week and a half was horrid for me...

Exactly. I would love to stay up all night just for the halibut, but alas, I do need some sleep. My grandparents always complain abou tme "burning the candle at both ends". Well, go away, my sleep schedule is my bsuiness, lol. I don't bother anyone, I usually stay in my room and use this POS computer or do backed up homework. I have always loved the night time. I want college classes in a few years that are at night so i can sleep all day, lol.

Wetzel 14-01-2003 07:28

Sleep? Whats that?

Last week I had a 44+hr awake period, 10 hr sleep, 30hr awake, 7hr sleep, then back into normal 6ish hr sleep.

Just skip a sleep period every now and then, gives me time to work on things when noone is around to bother me.
Except Jim. But he normaly goes to bed before sunrise, which is my most productive time of the day. Like tonight, I stayed up, drove my brother to school, will goto work 9-5:30, home, robotics 7:30-10ish, then stuff until prolly going to bed 2ish. No big deal.

I was looking for this thread later last night, or early this morning.

;)

Harrison 20-01-2003 23:14

its only 11:15 now.....still early :)

chellyzee93 21-01-2003 11:55

I'm terrible at going to bed. It just doesn't work. The sooner I go to bed the sooner it seems that I have to get up.I can always find something to do. :/

D.J. Fluck 21-01-2003 13:31

Sunday night I stayed up...well I went to bed at 4:00 Monday morning ;) I was working on strategy, and having an interesting chat with Jim, Wetzel and Cory...

For some reason I have a hard time getting to bed. Freshman year I was in bed by 9:30, sophomore year I was in bed by 10 or 10:30, last year I was in bed no later than 11. Now sometimes im up till Midnight....usually I don't even have homework. I just can't motivate myself to go to bed.

My paernts call me Owl or Nighthawk because they always wonder how I can be up late and still be up at a decent hour in the morning when there is no school

If you randomly walk into Tigerbolt while thinking of going to sleep, don't expect us to let you go so easilly.

You bring it on yourself, when you come in there... :p

Hmm... Yes... That was an interesting conversation. Now let's never speak of this again (seriously). ;)

Insomnia can't exist with espresso beans :]

Jim is a genius!! I go into Tigerbolt, intending to stay a few minutes, and four hours later, you can find me in there. Tigerbolt=more addictive than cigarettes.

OMG WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EE!

4 am in the morning and I am still up. Been sick for 2 weeks too.

I've finally lost it.

:yikes:

On the plus side, Roast Racks of lamb with mustard coating and marinade is still on the menu, so is the little sauce that come afterward. They take at least 20 steps in total. weeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Element945 22-01-2003 11:24

In robotics terms we dont call it insomniac, DEDICATION.

Actually, Dima's a westcoaster, too... 192, GRT.

I was just downstairs working on some electronics. I was actually doing something, not just sitting at my computer... playing Starcraft... like some people... :p

2:45am better coast time... not like it's a record or anything, though

The latest record I have is staying up until 12 at noon or so, and the day start over again, so the next day you go to class instead of sleep, and you go to bed after class. The the cycle begins all over again, and you suddenly found out you are living 28 hours days.

FotoPlasma 23-01-2003 10:11

After a few days of that, you're walking on the ceiling...

I am still awake. I had a Sobe Adrenaline Rush at around 12:30am, and haven't gone to sleep, yet.

I'll probably get to bed pretty soon, though...

Kinda feeling a little drowsy...

Drinking caffine is cheating.
