Cog what?
 

Well, as long as I've known my team, our robot has been officially called "Cogsworth" (i think?).
Most of us unofficially called it "Work you pile of wires!"

This year there were a few debates as to what the thing should be called...

I think a few people decided on some sort of haxor spelling of robot (r0807 ?)

To be honest I think everyone on the team has a different name for it...

Our robot will be called Kilroy IV, successor to Kilroy three, two and the original Kilroy. It's nice to have a history teacher as coach ;)

We chose X-tinguisher.

I was hoping for "Quito the Love Goose", but the engineers said we should stick to Ziff.

Now we have Ziff 2.0

...you can imagine what it's for...

hmm, we have a couple names being debated for this year. last year's was "furious george"
here are the options for this year:
-king cog
-kong foo
-guerilla gorilla

all very fitting for the apes of wrath :)

I think teams should just keep their robot name the same. Many teams are known mostly by their robot's name (think Buzz, MOE...and, well, Chuck :P) When they're the same, it's easier to remember from year to year.

That's why we keep it TOBOR (insert roman numeral here.) Most teams know us by "TOBOR" but we have the roman numerals so we can keep our robots straight! ("Hey, remember that thing we did with the drive on T5? Oh yeah, kinda like T2 right?")
