It's a shame. But the real decisions will be after Segways become available to anyone and are actually tried out in a few cities.

I found this and just need to show everyone:

San Francisco is a not a city you would want to ride a segway in. If you have been there and seen the hills first hand you know what I'm talking about.

I don't think they should have BANNED it though, but I wouldn't own one there. Public transport there is awesome.

Man they ban eveything in San Fan.... LOL go ped's skateboards and everything cool that helps a single person get around... :(

Actually, gopeds are allowed on streets in San Francisco
