Least they could do is give her some safety glasses.

Wow, where can my team get members so young and yet so dedicated like that?

Yeah, speaking of that; Have you people ever gone back to your elementary school and tried to use the water fountain???

I dont remember the spout for the water fountain being a foot above the ground!! :D

I went back to my old elementary school last week and I dont remember the ceiling being that short :D

Jeff Waegelin 22-01-2003 12:53

I don't remember the ceilings in my high school being so short. We moved back to our old building this year, and they had lowered the ceilings about two feet. It's weird...

Have your parents take a vacation, take your little bro/sis to robotics, and force him/her to work :)

Sean_330 27-01-2003 03:38

My little sister is not so little and she probably works harder than me at robotics!

Child (almost) Labor

I have found a reliable source for near-child labor:
the freshmen!!
this year, at our first meeting, we probably had about 70 freshmen (not kidding!) that wanted to be on robotics! it's amazing how quickly filing and bandsawing and even milling gets done on our team, if you only know how to harness thier power....haw haw haw!
i've got my cattle prod that makes work go along at a nice pace, i believe.....
*eeeeevil laugh*

We got about 30.... lazy freshmen.(and some sophmores posing as freshman.) Now we have about... 3 or 4. Same thing happened last year. (i was one of the 3 who stayed ^_^)

OMG she is soooooooooo cute.

On the note about child labor well my lil brother who is 12 always wants to help so its ok to bring him every now and then, this way they get exposed to the engineering field early.

We have one team member's younger brother that comes around all the time. I think he's in fifth grade or so, but I can't remember.

We have a team member with a younger brother. He used to come after school almost everyday last year since his dad helped out with the programming. It was easy to tell that he got really bored. I suppose he learned from his lesson to prepare for this year, because every time he comes now, he has a small TV system set up. The first time that he brought it, he was playing on his N64. Today when he came, he was watching movies. Guess robots don't interest him *shrugs*... shame really.
