i would imagine there are more teams than just the 4 of us at the holiday inn astrodome.. keep in mind not all teams have reps that abidly post on cd. i'm sure we will have about 5 or so other teams joining us there

who's gonna organize something @ hyatt? I just don't want all the teams to be there and end up being too haughty to approach eachother. Anyway, if you have a walkie talkie, bring it. if you have a laptop, bring it (we'll set up a wireless network, my friend's bringing his WAP, i think)

Just don't hide in ur room playing video games all night (unless it's DDR or something, in any case: at least invite the other teams over!)

From what I have gathered, the Radisson won't be as boring as you think. 71, 103, 131, 151, 225, 269, 365, and 718 will all be there. I don't know about the rest of the teams there, but MOE(365) will have 61 people there. I would like to have a get together Wednesday and Thursday night. If I don't see you guys from the other teams, I will hunt you down by way of the front desk. Whether you guys like it or not, we are going to have fun, whether we have to play football in the parking lot or have 80 people in the hot tub, we will have fun. See you there.

The Hyatt Regency is the one downtown. I'm pretty sure that's the one everyone will be at. I know that's were we're at.

Sorry for the late post, but 292 is also at the Hyatt!!:D I really feel sorry for the employees there, they wont know how to handle the situation will all of these crazy teenagers running through the hotel

Eh, we've smuggled things in coolers before...the likes of which will remain unknown...Im sure theres SOMEWAY to get ya there ;)

Hyatt's also got a great rotating, fully glassed restaurtant on the roof to watch the city out of apparently...

...it sounded like a great place for SOMEBODY to come hang out at.. :D (see aforementioned smuggling possiblities)

wow, looks like the two hotels to stay at are the radisson and the hyatt. Lucky us :) we are staying at the hyatt.

My team brought a boom box for dance music. Mostly the Cha Cha slide. If you guys want, I could get some MOE people together to DJ a dance at the Radisson if you all want me to. We might need some extra speakers. If everyone wants to have a dance, and our CD player isn't loud enough, I'll go out and buy something to make it loud enough (speakers, new one.... etc.) I'm sure the Radisson will be the loudest hotel even with just over half of the teams that the Hyatt has. There must be some way, though for the 2 hotels to get together and have a HUGE team party. That would be really cool. Well, I need to leave for school, so I will check back later. See you there.

Alright, alright...so the Hyatt and the Radisson are the places to be, but it doesn't mean we can't make the best of any other hotel. I don't know about you all, but 267, 519, and 662 are going to make the Rennaisance Houston Hotel the place to be. Party in my room...I'll be the loud one jumping up and down on the bed. :D

88 is staying at the Best Western Greenway in Reliant Park... I have about 6 shirts left to trade!!! Anyone interested???

(running man, lawnmower, sprinkler, cabbage patch.... that and i think i know any line dance there is: all the slides, bus stop, cotton eye joe, etc.) but yeah, if you guys want to actually dance so that i don't embarrass anyone, i can do that too.... and if anyone does ballet or jazz dance and want to do that, just look around for the short girl with bright red streaks in her hair. :):):) who lies to dance? i like to dance!!

Team 1108 is back at the Radisson, if only we had the actual money to pay for it. Oh well, as I say buy first, fundraise later. I hope they fix the hot tub.

Team 88 is staying at the Best Western about a half mile away.

I dance any type you want except ballet lol. I can dance swing if you want to show off a little. I am learning to break dance but I probably won't do any at nationals. I'm not good enough yet. I can't wait for nationals. It's kinda funny that I was bummed that a ton of teams were going to be at the Hyatt and a bunch less were going to be at our hotel. It's even funnier that I think they will be able to hear us at night having fun. This is going to awesome. I will be on all tomorrow during school to pass the time. Talk to you all later.

Spare Parts Database available at Nationals for teams to use
 

I posted this awhile ago but only a few teams have been able to respond and I haven't been able to e-mail all teams unfortunatly. Very few teams have been able to contribute their parts they'll be bringing to Houston for the database. It allows you to search for parts you need to repair you robot with and find what teams have it. If you could please download that and fill it out and send it back that would be excellent. This system will be in our pits for all to use, we just ask that everyone try to pitch in to make it work it's best. Thanks guys! You can download it from http://www.combbat.com/PartsForm97.xls. Yup, I hope to see more teams at Best Western Greenway too. There was a lot of teams at Disney All Star resort last year, and it was really cool seeing many different teams there.

I will be staying there with Team 115 and some of the bay area people, like Bill and Jim Gold.

Team 128 will be in the hyatt! party! haha! it's gonna be sweet...we'll have a pool party one night!

To all staying in the Marriot Medical Center- I'll be bringing a select series of DVDs (Matrix, Spiderman, Blazing Saddles, the first 2 seasons of the Simpsons, and the first 13 episodes of Futurama).
