Amperage or Current

what do you call it... amperage or current. or if you have another word for it, post it here

PyroPhin 22-01-2003 18:12

AMPERAGE!!!!!!!!!

Rickertsen2 22-01-2003 18:38

I say both.

Josh Hambright 22-01-2003 19:12

juice!

Technically isn't amperage the units of current. You don't go thats a 50 current battery.:)

Rickertsen2 22-01-2003 20:07

if there is a number in front then i say amp ie: thats a 50amp battery. Otherwise i would say something like:that motor draws alot of current.

Rob Colatutto 22-01-2003 20:12

the correct way is "those motors draw too much amperage"

Melissa Nute 22-01-2003 20:15

Amperage...duh

Jnadke 22-01-2003 20:15

The Ampere is a unit of current. The term amperage is looking for current expressed in amperes.

Current can also be expressed in coulombs per second, which is what Amperes are.

Volts are expressed in Joules per coulomb.

Im from georgia. lol

Matt Krass 22-01-2003 20:57

Your taking this argument way too far.....:-)

Btw, current!

Frank(Aflak) 22-01-2003 21:17

I am a non-conformist. I refer to "amperage" or "current" as FUZZY-WORMS!!!! (i.e. "That amount of fuzzy-worms is sure to blow out fuse in a hlaf-second." or "$@#$@#$@#$@#, thats alotta fuzzy-worms!")

heh, or not.

Although that would be funny. I like 'Juice' although I usually say current when not talking numbers, therefore I selected other.

Rickertsen2 22-01-2003 21:24

Current is winning! and yes we are taking this too far but it is fun!

Specialagentjim 22-01-2003 22:29

I call it amps...more fun to say in a scottish accent, like scotty from star trek, "THE REVOLVING LIGHTS PULLING TOO MANY AMPS CAP'N"...thats about the time the team asks "Who let the animator in....and how does he know the revolving lights pulling amps..."

Jeff Waegelin 23-01-2003 12:41

Typically, amperage, though I occasionally say current.
