Which guy doesn't? In my case, the degree differs. Like with Pamela, I'm definately more nervous than with other girls.

I'm more nervous around girls I don't know, than ones I do know.

i still say the best pick up line i've ever heard was "so how do you say your name?". at least... it worked for him - we've been dating for almost 7 months now:eek:

and guys, most of us don't bite... really. unless she's really rude, she won't destroy you when you say you like her. i know that when mark told me, i was so shocked i couldn't move for almost 5 full minutes. not because i didn't like him, but because i was surprised. realize that for us sometimes it comes out of the blue, our knee jerk reaction may not be our actual one, so don't give up too soon.

lol...#1 fear for us boys is that little knee-jerk to a 45 degree - 90 degree angle.

[EDIT]: I remembered one I was gonna use a long time ago on some girl..here it is (drum roll):
Ich mag Sei (enter name here if you want)

It means "I like you [name optional]" (it's in German). This was found at http://babel.altavista.com

Well.....I must admit if my best friend did the knee jerk reaction I did not notice and I would not care because my goal was simply to tell her that not only did I like her but also that I loved her for who she is. I admit during this exchange I when told my best friend Pamela (she's on 179) and I have been friends since 2001 KSC Regionals....

Me: "Pamela, there's something I got to tell you." (hesitates)
Pamela: "What is it Mike?"
Me: (I pause and hesitate) "Somewhere in the middle of all this, I fell in love with you Pam"
Pamela: "Awwe." (and a little stunned)

....I was looking at her straight into her eyes during practically the entire course of the conversation except during my first hesitation because I forgot exactly what I wanted to say.
Even though there are time where we barely talk because we're busy, we both lnow that the other still cares just our lives are crazy as it is. Somehow we've managed to keep a healthy friendship alive. I've never given up hope but when you don't hear from someone it really eats you up on the inside. We could never get angry/mad at one another so we know that not the reason. most ikely its our schedule (which makes it difficult to see one another).

Unlike a lot of boys in my school...I can look a woman straight in the eyes. I personally think "love" is a strong word used in high school...but it's the person's decision to use it (and good luck w/ Pamela). Good luck w/ your boyfriend pupledaisy.

Thanks.

In a way you're right, love is a strong word. But being nervous (I forgot what I was going to say) and she knew I liked and cared about her (our parents knew but didn't say anything that I'm aware of) already, just not how much.

Unbeknown to most of you, we (Pamela and I) have agreed not to date for now as we are busy with school and all. But who knows what the future brings. The irony of this is she probably will be (or is/has been - I haven't had the opportunity to ask...or consider asking about if she's single) going out with some else at this time of the post and I basically wouldn't want to date anyone with the exception being her. To call Pamela a friend is an understatement. In a way she is an extended part of my family as we've shared some stuff we wouldn't tell somebody who is just a friend and nor would we dare tell anyone in our family. The only way to put it I guess is basically to say Pamela is my best, most trusted confidant and friend.

Being such good friends, don't you think she would tell you if she were dating someone else? It would only make sense for her to do that, because I don't think she's the kind of person that would be dating someone and just happen to "forget" to mention that to you...

Raven_Writer 31-01-2003 07:44

I told the girl I like yesterday that I liked her, and she doesn't feel the same...but we are still friends.

Hey, she does tell me if she was/is. But I also know she is not interested in dating right now. I know that.....all too well!

Raven_Writer ....best of luck to ya man!

Yep, the future is definitely wide open. I certainly can't see into a crystal ball and find out. Only time will tell what will happen. The only definite thing in the future is that Pamela and I will be good friends forever.

Raven_Writer 31-01-2003 19:52

The future holds great posbilites for me if someone would not judge me first hand.
