I must have made a really good intial impression to her and later to her parents! Sometimes I think its just luck.

Things change in time....for what they are only in what will come will bring the truth. You never know....on the bright side at least she knows how you feel. After this, you yourself know you can do it again, tell her how you feel, ask her out, etc....
