Team Cheers
 

As we all know the majority of teams in FIRST tend to be very spirited. We all run around cheering left and right to the point that we leave the competition with little to no voice at all. Is there any particular cheers that your team live's by? or alittle something that gets you guys pumped, right before a match??

last year, my fellow drivers/pit crew/team always used to request linkin park just before a match, or during a match. If you listen to the music from alot of 173's matches (the finals anyway) it will be 'in the end'. I could often be seen singing while driving:D

(My team has simple minds... no use in trying to confuse them with too many words.)

We use 'UP CHUCK' ...sadly nothing on the robot has actually gone up in two years :P It's still cool, though. I forget the other generic cheer but it's like 'arcsine tangent cosine sine, 3.14159'

A couple times we just gave up organized cheering and yelled unintelligibly. I doubt that counts for much, though.

theres the generic "go us" that i know everyone does when they're too tired to shout or have no more voice left..

of course there is no such thing as "BS modulator" I always call the RC and OI "Basic Stamp modules.

Well going along with our robot name this year most likely we will be seen chanting, Cer-ber-us over and over again,

I'm pretty sure that's how you pronouce the 3-headed hell dog's name anyways...

Whatever doesnt really matter cause we gonna be cheering so loud, no body will want to listen to us, you know start chanting and the wrong time and what not, we do stuff like that:D

I think team 64's "gila gila gila gila gila" cheer and dance is the best one in FIRST.

The version of the Pi cheer I had always used was
"Tangent, secant, cosine, sine,
3.14159"
But I think it would be a good bit more fun if it was edited to go a few (say 10) more digits and become a chant rather than just a cheer. By the way, bathrooms resonate really nicely, especially with low chants like the one from MP: Search for the Holy Grail "Pie iesu domine. Donna eis requiem" (or something like that, anyhow, I make the building shake with that one).

lol team 862, the first competition that we went to with you guys, i cant remember which, that cheer got stuck in all our heads so we just started saying it too..lol and now its this big joke thing on our team that we do ever once in a while

well we will be at ypsi and west michigan, hopefully we'll see ya there :D

Thats our favorite.

Then we have things we just randomly say in the pits/shop/meetings like "WAAAABAAAAAM" and "ITS ALL FROSTING" and "I LIKE ROBOTS!!!" and "Stupid inventor...i hate this program" wait thats not a cheer just something we shout alot.

We have some new ones in the works for this years competitions... Hopefully we can bring home a few more spirit awards!

The BG Team (Nashua, NH) is team 811....and we mostly identify with some of the music we play as we do the competition "hike" from the pits....but we also tend to march up to constant loud chants of "Eight-One-One....Eight-One-One....Eight-One-One....etc...)

We all march up, pumping our "Cardinal Chop' in the air as we do scream this. (and blast music in between)
