Sorry, but Philly lost fair & square. The Dohlphins undoubtedly have the best team in the NFL, but alas, the coaching staff isnt that good. I say they hire Mariuchi (sp). You can't argue that the Dolphins arent a great team, look at the players:
Ricky Williams (shoulda got MVP of the league)
Chris Chambers
Rob Konrad
Randy McMichael
Jason Taylor (shoulda got defensive player of the year)
Zach Thomas
Sam Madison
Patrick Surtain
etc etc etc

It's all about picking the lesser of two evils for me. Tampa Bay always beats Minnesota (no making fun of me, I'm from Minnesota) and I just don't like Florida (no offense Floridians) but I detest Oakland even more although I'm a Californian. So go Bucs...I won't be watching the game although I'm a football freak, stupid papers to do.

I say Bucs... and I'll be watching every minute of the game

kewlkid382 26-01-2003 16:40

I voted for the bucks. I think that they will win but it will probably be a very close game, just like the Fiesta Bowl. (Miami vs. Ohio State) I normally don't watch pro footbal, i watch college football. I am a huge Florida State Seminoles fan. My brother is on the softball team. (not for the school...the AEPi frat.) Well, I think that this year's superbowl win be a great game. I don't know if you saw today the thing on tv that shows celebs that can't even get into some superbowl parties. I will be a good game when NSYNC can't even get into the place.

I like this guy...

The Colts don't have defense, every other good team in the NFL does. They don't even have the number one rushing game or passing game either! You cant go anywhere if you don't have a pretty good D unless you have the top notch 1st in its class offense.

Not true, being from Indiana I get to follow the Colts very closely. For awhile this year, the colts held the #2 defense spot behind Tony Dungee's former team, the Bucs. The Colts have a decent defense, but are horrible against the run. Tony Dungee is a mastermind of defense, but not a Mireille maker. It took him a few years to bring the Bucs defense up to the level they are at now. On offense, the Colts have a young one named James Mungro who single handedly won the game against the Eagles during Ederin James's injury time. James really does not want to stay in Indianapolis, so if they can get rid of him and bring in some defensive back, that should balance it out. The rest of the offense is good and the line is not bad. The bad play calling was more of a bad transition to the new coach. The colts have one of the highest rated QB's in being Peyton Manning, and Marvin Harrison, who was without a doubt the best receiver in the league this year and will remain as the top receiver for years to come.

This year was a transition year of a new head coach for Indianapolis. Once they get used to the new coach look for them to be a dangerous opponent and a Super Bowl Quality team.

Oh :ahh: the point of the thread... Bucs will win. Raiders are known to choke under pressure (coughPatriotscough)

Hopefully they are still in Indianapolis :D

I'll guess that the Raiders are taking it....

Bucs win, Raiders Choke...

Exactly what I said would happen

Michael Murphy 26-01-2003 23:41

Once again proving that DEFENSE (5 sacks, 5 INTs, 3TD, 1 Forced fumble) and a ground game (Michael Pittman-124 yds) win games.

EddieMcD 27-01-2003 11:26

Hey, lets give Rich Gannon credit. He did throw 5 touchdowns. 2 to the Raiders, 3 to the Bucs.

Not always, look at when St. Louis was good, they were all offense and somewhat good defense. I believe in having more of a balance between the two, like the Dolphins (GRRRRR at bad coaches, they must leave)

Koko Ed 27-01-2003 12:00

THe Raiders played straight into the Bucs hands. The way to beat the Bucs is to run on them. Putting your QB back to pass is setting him up to get crushed.
Regan Upshaw is an incredibly stupid player as well. Will someone please explain to him the rules of the game: You do not leave the line of scrimmage until after the ball is snapped!
Once is a mistake, twice is a problem, three times is your walking papers.

LBK Rules 27-01-2003 13:40

What was the final score? Last I saw was 20 to 3, and that was in the 3rd.

D.J. Fluck 27-01-2003 13:53

48-21

Jon Gruden had the biggest advantage of all. He coached the Raiders last year. I mean from one year how much can a teams playbook change? Gruden knew what he was up against and the Bucs ripped them to shreads
