Hosting with Free PHP/MySQL

I didn't know if any of you guys knew of this, but i stumbled upon it a few minutes ago. I felt some of you guys might consider it as a free host :P

lycos.co.uk is giving out 50mb of space PLUS... (it gets better)

PHP and MySQL...

(given the fact that you don't care that the server is based in the UK, you'd probably be fine)

I got a testing site up on there. It's really good, I prefer browser upload (lycos.co.uk might have that).

Do you have any scripts for a guestbook Jeremy? I checked your site, but didn't really see anything of the sort.

Jeremy_Mc 30-01-2003 20:50

Yes I have some, but I didn't put it on there (since we have forums).

I can send it to you sometime tonight...where would you like it sent to?

something's screwy with lycos.co.uk...whatever like you click on, it just brings you back to the home page...I want to sign up for one of those accounts...but now I can't.

I had this problem also...what you do is sign up for the e-mail account (on the main page, right side of the page, you'll see it).

Maybe your Internet doesn't allow SSL (Secure Socket Something).

Secure Sockets Layer

Jeremy_Mc 01-02-2003 02:22

it might merely be your browser settings...check your security settings on your browser and that might fix it.

otherwise, i'd suggest just registering somewhere else that does support SSL and trying to login at home

Thanks. If you are using AOL or CompuServe, it won't work.
