Progress of YOUR animation
 

just a post trying to find out how everyone is coming along. Mainly I wanted to find out who has had to improvise from their original ideas and storyboard.

I can sya that our team hasn't been forced to make any major changes...weren't able to add rocks to mars but I want to know how everyone else is doing.

We dumped our first storyline in the second week and are plugging along.
IMO I think we're behind.

i think we're doing ok...

the space scene is complete, re-entry is about half done...

only gotta start on the ground scene

I like our story line and we have a unique graphics style (hint, look at my avitar).

that's not really unique...some of us might be doing that too :cool:

but thank god they included the "ink 'n paint" material in 3ds MAX 5...it was really hard to do it in 4 :mad:

THE MCKENZIE IMPROVISORS

I'm about five days behind of where I want to be, mainly because exams were a bit rough and I had to study more than anticipated. But the bot will be done by the end of the weekend, I've got the rest of the scene laid out, and I should be able to animate the whole thing with biped in a day at most. Gonna be tight but I should slide by just fine.

Team 93 Progress
 

We start final rendering tonight, and will be done in about 3 days!

We still have voice recording and video editing to do, but thats all easy compared to the animation

I'm starting it today, and I'm going to do it over the weekend. We have a tiny smidge done so far.

Hmmm, not much I can say about our animation.

I'm the only returning member of our animation team from last year, everyone else moved on to different things within the team.

Were coming along pretty well, still haven't done our story board pictures yet...hope to get those done soon...uhm...yeah....

I am about half way done with the animation. It isn't to good but we are a rookie team and I am the only person who wants to animate and there are no animation mentors

Oh man, I hear yas. Our two advanced 3ds max people are now in Sweden and the Universtiy Of Florida. So yeah...this is moving along fun! (....oh, I forgot the sarcam tags..)

Yeah, our animation is going great. We have people work on it when we meet, and at home too (we have like 5 copys of max). Well, our scenes are pretty complex, and were all done modeling. Finishing texturizing, and lighting, and rendering some scenes. Yeah! Animation! ....right...

Yeah to go along with what JosephM said, our animation has a great style and should be great..

We are just getting ready to record voices, music and sound fx but lots of modelling and animation are already done..

our animation is done and will be posted on monday!!!!

Its not the best but the best i can do in R3.1 and I have other stuff to do with the robot............

Amen to that. Thank god! I dont think I could have survived another day without going outsiide(we worked in my basement....lived in my basement).

I had to stay up all night but I finished it. It isn't the greatest work but at least it's finished.
We got to find a new process next year on doing the animation. I can't be doing these late nights, school and work. I'll be spending the week comming up with a process(which we lacked).
