Local "Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day"
 

On Thursday, February 20, 2003, MSC.Software in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is holding its third annual "Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day" as part of National Engineers Week. All local high-school girls who are interested in science or math or want to be an engineer are invited to the 1/2 day program (11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). You'll learn more about engineering, get hands-on experience with the mechanical system simulation software, ADAMS, and get a free lunch.

This has been a very rewarding program for girls. Last year, we had several girls from the Ypsilanti Alpha Omega FIRST program, and they wrote me to say that they were going to apply what they'd learned about the engineering process to their FIRST program.
