IS your robot done?

Well there are 12 more days left for build. Well maybe for you guys..... The TIGERTRONS are finished minus the skins, Automode, and a few minor things that we have to fix.

I am just wondering how many teams are finished building their robot. (finished mean that its fully drivable)

We will be posting some shots of our robot soon.

Well, our bot was driving until the motor mount broke. Now we are waiting on new mounts, we have yet to make a servo shifter for the drills, but that shouldnt take too long. our secret mechanisms are close to being finished, just some final work to finish on them. My biggest concern at this point is autonomy. I don't think we will be totally done with autonomy by ship date

Look for pics as soon as I can get permission and bring my camera:D

Our team has a fully functional prototype robot. We build a proto and make sure that everything works before we start on the real thing. THis helps us cut down on mistakes and figure out what works and what doesnt. THe cool thing is that we can constantly refer back to it and see what we did. As for the real thing, we have finished the chassis and are working ont he drive system. Its a bit laborious to build two robots, but it is definitely worth it.

Our team's robot is almost ready. Just a few final additions and we will be done! Our autonomous program on the other hand is something different. But I have no doubt we will be ready by the shipping date! I think :]

Our Stackers we thought were done, but we then found that there was about two inches that they couldn't pass from one set to the other. Our drive train would be done if one of our drill motors hadn't burned out. The real fun parts are going to be where to fit all the electronics and then making swiss cheese out of the finished product (ah, making weight...). Happilly, our electronics and pneumatics are completely planned, we just have to put them where they fit (and as of a couple hours ago, I think all the pneumatics are in place, except for the ones on the arms).

Our robot has a crooked frame, wires every where, the front wheels fall off and the lifters are yet to be seen, by anyone.

Our robot is done. But we programmers have just been informed by the strategists that we need at least five programs. But we have lots of time for those.

 We had been working for two weeks on this wicked awesome design!!! It was great we had everything sut and figured out when our engineers stepped in and suggested us not to do so and of course while the upperclassmen stayed true to ours (well actually I thought of it but they all backed me) the freshmen (who out number us) voted against so we had to restart from the get-go and we will be working until the very last minute (sounds familiar, oh yeah last year!) :ahh:

P.S. You have to give a delivery guy atleast 50 (not 20) to give you ane extra 20 minutes:(

Not only that we are finish we are ready to ship. We tested out all our programs.

We have a lot of stick time already.

I can tell you now it is taking us 4 seconds to hit the buckets on top of the ramp. Not only speed but power.

I will try to put up some video

Black Mage beats fighter anyday!

John Bono 06-02-2003 23:49

What are you talking about. My dexterity SO beats out over any spell you can throw at me (at least when still at Fighter and Black Mage class). Have you even played FF1?

Our bot is "Done" as you describe it, We've been driving for a while now, and today after school we are going to put on the final part of the robot that has been giving us slight problems, Our walking foot, once that is mounted were going to work on a Roll cage type thing so no boxes hit our controls and then we are going to paint it cool colors.

DanLevin247 07-02-2003 08:18

247's robot is far from done. Although we are making excellent progress, we keep running into big problems with our design. No worries though, <miracle> it'll all come together in the end. </miracle>
