Krispy News Flash
Dateline: Richmond, CA
Not only does Richmond now sport four robotics teams, but we have a Krispy Kreme! Just opened today! MUHAHAHAHAHA Sorry Jason. Eric. |
::Jealous:: :p
- Katie |
:p Philadelphia Just got a Krispy Kreme a few months ago. Deeeelicious. :D
|
you can have your krispy kremes...i have no idea what that is.........i would rather have my 7-11's and the slurpees that come with it.
|
We don't have any 7-11's here either! I feel deprived. :( ;)
- Katie |
Katie: Is Appleton Hickville? How can you not have a 7-11 I can understand not having a Krispy Kreme, we don't either, but a 7-11?!?!?!? they are every where!
Cory |
VERY upset....
Richmond, CA - KRISPY KREME
Population 101,000 San Jose, CA - NO KRISPY KREME Population 917,000 (11th largest city in the country, 3rd largest in CA - larger than San Fran) IT'S JUST NOT RIGHT!?! How can San Jose claim to be a large, modern, advanced city and NOT HAVE A KRISPY KREME???? I'm starting a recall drive for the mayor - it's just not acceptable, he clearly does not have a vision for our city like the mayor of Richmond does. I have to drive to Mountain View to get Krispy Kreme. Now I have to find a way for my accountant to claim about 5,000 miles of driving each year on my taxes as a business expense. Thanks for rubbing it in Eric. ;) |

I prefer Dunkin' Donuts. We have about 5 on the island. Dunkin' Donuts are quite big around Southern New England. So big, that Providence has host to the worst named arena in history: The Dunkin Donuts Arena (called "The Dunk" for short). Therefore, Dunkin' Donuts are superior in every manner. Say, that gives me an idea.
To the chit chat forum! |
Krispy News Flash
I thought 7-11s were a south of the Mason/Dixon phenomenon!
As far as Krispy Kremes are concerned, they're one of the yummiest glazed donuts in existence. None of the others come anywhere near in flavor or consistency. Don't even mention them in the same forum as Dunkin's! |
Krispy Kreme on campus, freshly made everyday...yeah, you can't beat that.
|
Donuts
Tim Hortons.. Now there's a Donut place.
By my calculations, there is 1 7-11 for every 10000 people in my city. |
We have a Dunkin Donuts and a whole bunch of Dandy Mini Marts (nobody has ever heard of those...now have ya? :P) Anyone ever had a Cinnabun...it's a little chain (there's one in the Charlotte airport).. I know the guy that used to own it (he started it then sold it) His name is Robert. So we call the place 'Bob's Buns' :D

What's with FIRST and Krispy Kreme anyway?

I love KK
KK are the best in the world...our local krogers (supermarkets) carry them in their stores. its awesome...u can get KK anywhere in columbus...but we are also the 8th fattest city. I wonder why.....:D also we are home to like 1/2 of all fastfood places like wendy's and whitecastles. We are all fat here...hehe..
GO KK!!!!!!! |
Re: I love KK

Heh...week-old frozen Krispy Kreme's are still good... I bought fundraiser KK's and put them in my car in like 0F temperature. Those things were HARD. :D Then they sat in the shop for a few days...then we finished of the box (along with year-old, moldy candy bars...mmm...) |

Just reading that again still brings a tear to my eye... (snif)
-dave [/b][/quote] I nominate Dave as the Shakespear of FIRST! Our poet in residence. The king of kings of silver throatedness. I have never in my 55 years read a better description of KK's. Ken loyd Team 64:cool: |
woohooo go krispy kreme! i bought krispy kreme stock when they released it.... mmmmmm profits
|
anarkissed
Dear Anarkissed,
I agree with you about Cedar Point. When I was living in Ohio I always wanted them to move "The Beast" from Kings Island to Cedar Point. Lake Erie, Cedar Point, the Beast...what an amusement park that would be! Ken Loyd Team 64:cool: |
Ken,
I love cedar point, and The Beast in Cedar Point would have made it the best roller coaster park in the world. Well wait, it already is, but it would have made it beastly better ;) Have you heard about the new coaster they are building? http://www.topthrilldragster.com/pub.../ttd/index.cfm mmmm 420 feet tall and 120 mph top speed... 120 feet taller than millenium force and 28 mph faster... with 90 degree ascent and descent.... I think i'm going to love this summer... |
Anarkissed,
Looks like I might have to make a trip home this summer. Cedar Point and fresh WhiteCastles...could be close to heaven. Throw in a few KK glazed and I just might consider moving back....never happen. I like to look at snow not live in it. Ken Loyd Team 64:cool: |
Well i guess that Cleveland come behind everywhere else when it comes to KK's and 7-11's. I have to drive for 20 mins to get to a KK and i don't think we even have 7-11's anymore. BUt hey we have a Dairy King and a Burger Queen and i'm not even joking. I will back up the claims od KK's though they are the best.

WEIRDO!
Every1 has Krispy Kreme it isn't exciting nemore. But then again Shelton's is because they brought Krispy Kreme to our school. We ordered they Delivered!
-LilSzeK...The quieter we become the more we hear! |
Indiana has had Krispy Kreme for a very loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time.
Not trying to be mean or anything, just stating a fact. |
KRISPY CREAM ANT GOT NOTHING ON ME
I am a master doughnut cheif and they arent nothing compared to me
|
Redondo Beach, where I live in Los Angeles County, has no Krispy Kreme with the nearest one being about 25 minutes away. Before that one opened a couple of years back, it was a good 30-45 minute drive to get to one. However, while we lack a Krispy Kreme, we do have a 7-11 and we even have 6 Starbucks........
|
I don't see the big deal about those donuts. If you really want a hot donut then go to dunkin and put one in the microwave.
|
STARBUCKS!?!?!?! BLAH...in the mall i work at there are 4 starbucks and throughout Columbus i would say there is a good 12 of them....they are on every street....AHHHHHH ATTACK OF THE CAFFEINE!!!!!!
|

Saying there is no big deal about "those donuts" is the same as saying there is no difference between FIRST robots and battlebots. Ken Loyd Team 64  PS Dave L., not only do we have a Gila shirt for you, we also have an official Krispy Kreme adjustable bakers hat. |
Lay off the K-K's :P
Richmond... That's still farther than Rengstroff Boulevard :( |
i just got back for the Def Poetry Jam off-broadway,
and one of the guys (Poetri) spoke a poem of your beloved Krispy kreams... check it out if you can find it. I had to post this even though i've never had them I know some of you are crazy for them.:D |
Ha. I feel bad for all of you Krispy Kreme newbies, we've had them here as long as I can remember.

I'm happy because i can buy kk's at nearly every grocery store and gas station in the greater columbus area. I don't want to be part of the Krispy Kreme royal family though. Any affiliation with the KKK isn't good for my image.
|
EVERYONE QUICK COME TO ATLANTA!!!
You all should come to the atlanta regional even if your not competing just so you can try any one of the SIX (6) local Krispy Kremes in the Atlanta area! MMMM hot donuts.... You havnt lived yet if youve never had a hot krispy kreme -Andy |

|

Re: Krispy News Flash
Hello,
My name is Poetri. I have a poem about Krispy Kreme donuts that I do every night on stage for Def Poetry Jam. This is so funny that I just happened to type in Krispy Kreme on google and see all these other poems and addictions about this donut...wow...I am not alone. You can hear a taste (haha) of my poem on http://Poetri.com in the audio section. I also read about the guy on here that went to the show. Thanks man, for coming! Alright, I had to register and everything just to tell you that I am happy that I not the only man that loves Krispy Kreme donuts too much! http://Poetri.com Quote:

The krispy kreme process is the coolest! Do you realize that every time you eat meat, you are eating the muscles off a fried carcass that has been dead for how many weeks? You might as well slice a nice bloody hunk off your dog and cook it up. I still love meat(although sometimes i find it disturbing). anyways sry for that bit of gruesomeness. I envy those who have a krispy kreme nearby. We have krispy kreme in ATL but not one near enough to me to be convenient. I wish we had 711. HINT: BTW krispy kreme sales are really easy fundraisers. |
Re: Krispy News Flash
Yeah... the closest one is in mountain view.
It's only a 10 minute drive from saratoga... if you want it bad enough ;) |
Re: Krispy News Flash
Syracuse only *just* got our first Krispy Kreme - it opened like two weeks ago. Prior to that it's just been cold ones brought in from Rochester for school fundraisers - and they can be really really bad that way......haven't had the opportunity to try them hot yet :)

Re: Krispy News Flash
where i live there are at least 3 7-11's in a 1 mile radius. But Have You ever been to NYC one on every corner. Its Sad my cousins in AZ have never heard of 7-11 they have Circle K. Krispy Kreme is good but i would have to drive 1 hour each way to get to the closest one.
|
Re: Krispy News Flash
Nashua has a bunch of 7-11's, however the closest KK is Medford, Mass a good hour drive from here. Arg!!! I want KK's!!!
