First our team, then the robotics engineer and another mentor, then a visiting rookie team,

all saying,

OMG!!!

I know most of you hate people who only post short little segments of stuff but I think this picture calls for something to that effect, so here I got with my responce:

...Wow...

Lord Nerdlinger 09-02-2003 03:54

$@#$@#$@#$@#, we thought of that, but ya... we laughed it off as impossible. that's pretty crazy:confused: :yikes:

i hope you guys are goin to nationals this year, cause in my book, you gotta be one of the front-runners!!!

hmm... *thinks to himself* i wonder if the 2 Pratt teams could ally for the UCF champs this year.... and would they ever pick an ex-spammer's team to help them out? only time will tell...

=-]

best of luck this year guys!

*goes to his thinking room to figure out a way to beat 179*

AJ Quick 09-02-2003 11:31

Wow.

Ricky Q. 09-02-2003 11:36

Sweet :D

jonathan lall 09-02-2003 11:54

I just had a dream about this robot.

Mommmmmy!

Spikey 09-02-2003 12:38

I want VIDEO!!!!:ahh: :ahh: :ahh: :ahh:

Jnadke 09-02-2003 12:44

Amazing design, but one slight flaw...

80% of mass 5ft in air = bad center of gravity....

Imagine if an autonomous robot came under the bar and hit them..... oooo, the mayhem. Might even break a playing field part.

Digo 09-02-2003 13:10

Really great!
I bet it required a lot of creativity , work and courage.
As said above a couple of times, people usually laugh at this kind of idea, and doing this is against a brainstorm. You have to listen to EVERY idea and never say "it won't work just because it's weird".
That's how NEW things are created. Congratulations. And good luck!

-> By the way, can you please explain better what happens after you kept all the bins from falling in the opposite field?

I was wondering how your going to push 30 bins up if they fall on you? I hope you got a kick $@#$@#$@# drive train!!:ahh:

Joe Matt 09-02-2003 13:23

Lets just say Sparky can ram through that. :)

Dante Sparda 09-02-2003 17:18

Don't go jumping to conclusions Joe. I still want to see a video of this sucker. :D

DaBruteForceGuy 09-02-2003 19:54

..................I'm still in the dark, what happens if another robot comes up and spins you on the HDPE as u mosey on up the ramp and u catilever on the HDPE and the mesh? I was also wondering how many of those wheels are powered and how much power do you have overall?
-----if that baby has a powerful drivetrain and a low centered COG i'd be pretty impressed
