We regularly meet after school (2:30) until around 6-7 PM...later now that its down to the final week. We meeting from around 1-6 PM on Saturdays and days we have off from school (snow days).

Our team works far less hours than it seems like most of the teams on this thread do.

Monday-Friday: 2:00-4:30PM for most weeks, this past week it has been 2:00-5:30PM
Saturday: 10:00AM-4:30PM

We only have one mentor who comes for some week days all day long and works with the robotics class in the school on the robot, but that is a much more relaxed pace than after school, i think , i do not know, im only an after school person, personally I wish we did more hours, like at least until 6:00PM or 6:30, i think the 2 extra hours a day, multiply that by the 42 days we get to work on it and that is almost 4 extra days of working

but in the end, our hours are fine, we get the job done, and no one is ever burnt out or extremely tired

We usually go from 2-6pm. Our members all proclaim that they have a "life", when all they do is go back home and play online FPSes.

However, you would usually find me spending all-nighters trying to get the code done. Being the only programmer is a pain in the backside, seriously.

I just got home 5 mins ago. and the same last night, and the night before, and the night before that for the last 4 weeks. Gee I can't wait until Wednesday, the first time in 6 weeks I can actually get more than 4 hours of sleep. Plus whatever sleep i get in class.

Wow! 11 pm and 12 am... that is late!

Our team staystil 6 or 7, but we barley get anything accomplished until the last week or so...we don't come during weekends cuz our team memebers are toooooooooooo freaking lazy :P besides from few people.

last year we stayedtil 9 or 10 playing pokerand pretending we were working on the robot. "REAL MONEY" lol, but it wasn't much.

we usually stay from about 6pm to 10pm on the weekdays...at least til week 5 and 6...then its til 12am or 1am. the weekends its from 7am to 11pm, or in the later days all night

Monday to Friday 2:10 - 5:00, Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm. This is pretty much set and our advisors refuse to work other times. I'm a firm believer that staying later matters. As you stay later, you not only get into a groove where work gets done fast, but also those students who just live to annoy the rest of the team tire of it and go home. Some of our best work has happened 6:00 pm and after (last year).

Luckily, since we have the coolest mentors around, they ask us how late we want to stay. One of our male mentors stayed til very late at night on valentine's day so we could have a better shot at making our deadlines. Our mentors have been known to stay until 2 in the morning without complaint. They are somehow also willing to come in early in the morning on the weekends to help us waterjet parts, only to stay well into the night to aide in our fabrication. As far as I'm concerned, the time spent in the shop is based on 2 things: Mentor availability, and student interest in their project. On my team, we seem to have an abundance of both. Great job team, and thanks Larry, John, Paul, and all of the other mentors who have stayed long hours for the benefit of the team.

we stay usually from 5:30-9ish
it basically all depends on wht needs to get done that perticualr day

usally a week before ship date we stay latttttteee hours...we get no sleep! haha

3-9 weekdays, 11-11 weekends, maybe 7-11 (depends on how everyone feels).

We all enjoy staying later because that means more food, and pizza definitely owns all food.

9 PM is later than we have ever stayed, but last year, we stayed until midnight and the next, our "Teacher" if you would like to call him, called us out of class to finish the 'bot. Yes. That was our first year.

Not very late. At all. Ever. Weekdays are 3-5pm, Saturdays are 9am-3pm, and we have basically finished already.

Right now, it's insane. The times for us are 4 hrs per day during weekdays and 10 am - 11 pm this weekend and last weekend. Every day except for Friday during the first three weeks, and everday during the last three. The last two have increased meeting times.

Weekdays- Until around 10 PM, and we usually skip at least 2 classes to work on the robot. On weekends, its about 9 am-5 pm...
This weekend is different.... since we got a 4 day weekend, yesterday was 7:30 am- 8 pm, tomorrow is 7 am-whenever the robot is finished (probably around 2 am...), and monday is from about 6 am till whenever we are forced to pack the robot

Our team comes at 8:30am and stays until 8pm, usually we all need to leave by then because we are so strung out beacuse of things gone wrong, or we are just so tired that we're nipping at each other that it's for the best anyways.

mostly, we go directly after school and some end up staying unitl about 11..... well, i dont hink that late this week but, possibly... i have stayed unitl 8:30(thursday from 4 to 8:30). it was fun but, with all this extra time.... im hoping that we're ready.

So about 15-21 hours a week

Our team is working out of three build locations this year. The local Career Center (Vo-Tech), one of the several high schools involved with the team (Towanda High), and the local abandoned Ames building. We were booted out of the High School tonight at 6, so we packed up a few things and moved to Ames to continue a couple more hours of wiring. In for another long day tomorrow, then back to school for me.

weekdays: as soon as school lets out->7 pm
weekends: at LEAST 10 am-10 pm(or later if we stay over)

This last week it's been 10am - 2am

At least it's been that way for me and a few others. Most people only stay for 5 hours.

But it all pays off in the end.

In 2003 we worked in a garage, and would work from 3:00 PM on Friday unitl 8:00 PM on Sunday, that might set a record with about 2 hours of sleep.

Now that we work in the woodshop at school, and the school's alarm goes off at midnight, we can't stay past that before the cops show up. So that means I have to get out of here in 18 minutes and counting, better finish up then. :yikes:

our team stays after school everyday, from about 3:00p-8:00p on a typical night. But this last weekend was a 4-day weekend and we were there everyday from 8:00a-9:00p. Go ahead, say it: we have no lives, lol. :o

Well, unlike the previous years where a lot of the nights were spent over, this year we only had one late nighter with 6 kids and adults staying till about 6 in the morning. I personally prefer staying till its done but its useless if the speed of your team is cut in half after 12 or something.
Hoping for some more late nighters and some all nighters next year
