Help w/ a Research Paper concerning a Dean Kamen statement
 

Hello fellow Firsters, I'm hoping you can come to my aid! For English class we had to pick a world problem and solution as a hypothesis for our research/persuasive papers. Anyways, the one I have to do (my other 2 choices got 'shot down') is (yeah I kinda stole this from Dean Kamen..) "The only way the world will become a better place is if people stop being recipients, and start to contribute something to society by becoming educated". now, this is kinda silly.. we had to state a possible solution in our society, so I just thought of that... anyways, is there a certain word(s) that will help describe that kind of situation I stated above?? I'm really having a hard time finding anything on this topic, and I'm afraid I'll have to swtich it. Thanks to everyone!! :)

If everyone puts more into Society then they take out, then society as a whole will have an abundunce of....of well whatever has been put into it.
