Freshmen Pranks

What is the best/ most humiliating prank that your team has ever played on a new freshmen? On team 11 while our freshmen were sleeping we 1) Dumped 5 pounds of candy on their heads, and 2) at 1 a.m. set all of the clocks in the room forward 5 hours, got dressed, burst into the room and acted like we were running late and the kid had five minutes to get ready. Meanwhile when the kid was in the shower, everyone else got into bed and turned out the lights.

We're also open to any new ideas.

Team 11

Golden 10-02-2003 19:08

-Putting Kool-Aid in their shower head
-Dunking their shoes in water
-Antiquing (Powerdering them beyond all reason)
-Dumping five pounds of candy on their head
-Hitting them in the face with the Ball-Zac
-Setting clock several (6-12) hours ahead and waking them up
-Having Adults walk in on showering Freshman
-Locking them in the Sauna

Hey, you didn't get everything.

 :p

try putting boullion cubes (i.e the stuff you drop in water to make soup) in the shower head, so that they smeel like soup all day long...

Frank(Aflak) 10-02-2003 23:06

Its a shame, we have no freshmen to torture. Well, one showed up today, but I'm not sure if he counts yet.

D.J. Fluck 10-02-2003 23:36

We were looking through a catalog today and found a biology section where they order preserved animals for disection... heh heh heh how would someone enjoy sticking their feet under their covers with a dead squid, fish or frogs??

Wetzel 10-02-2003 23:39

Ask me again after the competitions.

Ha ha :D
I'll think of what else I can come up with this year, too. Too bad for you teams who dont have freshmen. :(

Jase 11-02-2003 17:16

DDR for life?... hmmm....

Shut up, John

Wetzel, I can't help but notice your monicker under your user name, "DDR for life"

DDR is teh win and we need to set up a mini-DDR competition down at the nationals.

^ Apparently, Six flags has no machine, so I'll need to pick another location around Houston -.- ....

All in favor, say I.
And, shut up John

ronnie_82 11-02-2003 17:22

tell them to feel up the water fountain or tell them to go look for a can of A.I.R

yangotang 11-02-2003 17:27

I'm on the water polo team here, it seems like the biggest prank that we pull on people who call themselves "freshmen" is throw them into the pool with their clothes on (it's about 45 degrees outside). From my past experience as a freshmen it totally sucked.

MisterX 11-02-2003 17:52

How in your right mine can you feel sorry for teams without freshmen, I envy them!!!!!!!! Speaking as a past freshmen, FRESHMEN RUIN EVRYTHING!Since the begining you team has been run by seniority the way it should, the people who know the most do the most!!!!! However, apparently one of the freshmen last year whinned to their mommies (even though no freshmen was ever there to do nething and all they did was drink our soda). Our mentors had to rearrange everything if we wanted to keep our sponsorships so they made the senior sit back and do nothing while the freshmen drove everything to hell. After voting on an idea that everyone opposed, except for the freshmen, half the pesks left! Now we have this lousy robot no one likes and is demand to FAIL!!!!PLus no one even wants to work on it know in embarassment so we have this half built chasis in the middle of the workshop covered by a tarp!

utishpenguin 11-02-2003 21:27

evil plan

we were decideing to announce at the last few days of the build to have free dinner at the build site. when most fo the freshmen come, we will make then polish the whole bot...:p i dont know.. just a thought of ours... normally we will just make them do mundane tasks....some freshmen are cool though

Mullet 12-02-2003 19:17

OK. I got a prank pulled on me last year.

Being the ultimate doofus, I took a shower way early than I should at night. So, there I am in the shower. And...the door wouldn't lock. So, in comes the team to dose my with a huge bucket of ice. I actually felt kinda good, but just getting pranked on was bad enough. I get my revenge this year.

Today was a great one,my calc class is connected by an office to an algebra 1 class. And the teacher of that class always comes over to talk to our teacher and shes talking about how this kid got a broken jaw and sprained ankle from playing football. then she says "Hes a freshmen, wanna come over and make fun of him" and our teacher being a goofball of course says "sure! " and the whole class (27of us) walk through the office and points and laughs at him. hahah sucker.

DO ANY OF YOU HAVE A SOUL!!?!??!!

Of course not, either do I :p

Patrick Duffy 12-02-2003 20:29

Why bother only making fun of freshmen? Our Senior class, mainly me & mark make fun of just about everybody in the school, regardless of grade level. As far as pranks go, I'm pretty sure we're gonna be pranking the sophomores more than the freshmen, if you were on team 108, you would understand why (crazy mechanical team...psh).

 :p

You forgot the mot important one.... falling on your head and making everyone on the team think you have a concussion... Oh, wait, I DID have a concussion :p

Marygrace 03-06-2003 14:44

At least in college you get upgraded from the title of freshmen to "first years." yay for first years.

evil duct tape

Ok my freshman year on the team summed up in to words. DUCT TAPE! (allthough i had alot of fun when i wasnt being duct taped).
So...I never shut up when i was at robotics so about 1 week into the season last year, a bunch of the seniors and juniors decided it would be fun to duct tape me( seeing how i was the only freshman on the team) and leave the room. needless to say i was squirmming around on the floor for half an hour trying to get my hands and feet loose/
And at the end of the season they randomly decided to duct tape my hands and feet to a chair and put me outside.
took awhile to get out while all the athletes were pointing and laughing.
AAAAhhhhhhhh they wonderous days of my freshman year, to bad the mentors outlawed duct taping the freshman this year.
(otherwise he would have been duct taped and thrown in an elevator at nats, that would have been funny)

ok, i think im done ranting 4 now.....

And I'm glad, can you guys stop giving them ideas? At least until June 15? *looks around, spots tom with duct tape and runs*

Alaina 05-06-2003 16:34

I find pranking beyond immature, and definitely not nice. Most of the time the pranks are too humiliating and the prankers don't deserve to be forgiven. I would never do that to anybody. Even if I didn't like them. I'd just be lowering myself.

Frank(Aflak) 05-06-2003 22:31

I like the idea of duck(or duct . . . ) taping a freshman and then leaving them all alone in an elevator. . . . and then leave the building and possibly even the city without telling him . . . hehehe. Especially a service elevator.

Also . . clocks forward, wake him up, tell him hes late, back to bed when he's showering. What a mind trip it musta been when he came out . . . . hehehe . . . then tell him he was having really vocal dreams if he asks what happened. He would never know.

About duct-taping: a friend of mine has a really . . well, the most annoying little brother on the face of this planet.

So I asked, innocently enough, if he had any duct-tape. The idiot went into his room and brought me a roll, which we then used to wrap him in. Then, because he was thumping around and making noise, we dragged him outside and taped his mumified form to a big oak tree in their front yard . . .. I wonder what the neighbors thought . . . but then They knew the kid and probably understood.

His mother, however, was angry when she got home . . . until she started laughing.

now we just need some freshmens. heh. heh. heh.

utishpenguin 14-06-2003 12:04

alas

how about some zipties doing the work? imagine the possibiliy of a freshman tangled in hundreds of zipties!

kristen 14-06-2003 13:20

My team doesn't "do" freshmen pranks... it's more of a free for all :)

My room unplugged our phone in our hotel room so that we wouldn't get called all night be certain team members.

Coco the Monkey 14-06-2003 13:27

We dont do pranks very much to our freshman either...though there is one that is EXTREMELY gullible *COUGH*MELISSA!*COUGH*...but yeah...

utishpenguin 16-06-2003 23:57

well well

we just order the freshman around and whip them into the proper shape for being in the build

pauluffel 20-06-2003 18:46

Not a robotics prank, but some freshman pranking that happened last year involving duct tape...

Our school is rather complex (seriously, there are two and a half floors at Milton) which leads to lots of fun places you can do things where the admins can"t easily spot you. This led to "Freshmen Fridays" where freshmen were held against a pole a couple of feet off the ground with their arms at their sides and duct-taped to the poles. There was also talk of doing this with the football goalposts, but these rumours are yet unproven...

(nobody got caught).
