Our new and refined HQ
We have moved our HQ from the hallway near the Computer department to the Auto shop. Lots of space. Nice Teachers, always jolly !!
Its fun. We got access to machinery and tools. Hope u have fun too |
Well we have a 10' by 10' area to store everything. But we do have acces to a working machine shop from about 4:00pm to when ever we want to leave. Space? or Machines? which is better?

You guys are really lucky! Last year we found an old agricultural closet and cleaned all the pig pens and rabbit cages and feed out of it to use. I think it measures about 13x17'. We were pretty happy about that until the school decided to let another group store some of their stuff in there too!
Thus, we are resigned to working in a very small space and then moving all our stuff over to the dance team room every night in order to build.! Hope everyone is ready to get some sleep soon! M |
Our HG is our old machine shop with 2 connected classrooms. We got a butload of room and we got a webcam up somewhere at http://www.gunnrobotics.org .

Huge old grocery store + no electricity + no heat = wonderful :)
and the meat lockers are such nice storage, we just got a generator and a heater that i swear is an old jet engine, maybe we should try some wings on it.... we could have almost 4 full sized fields in the space we have, only draw back is both of the big machine shops we use are way way on the other side of town, guess you gotta take what you can get. asher |
i guess some of us are having a lot of trouble regarding a HQ.
We have 1 machine shop, 1 auto room, 1 design tech room, hallways, and one or two classrooms to work in. we usually work after school so we have virtually all the school premices !!! |
That sounds like a nice setup. Ours (#192) is similar, but not as big.

Thanks To Our University
Platteville is a University town, and we've been lucky to be able to use our university's facilities. We tend to "roam free" in our engineering building, Ottensman Hall.
We owe a debt of gratitude to our UW-Platteville staff technician, Clyde Holverson, as well as the staff, faculty and administration at UW-Platteville. Thanks everyone! |
