- you skip your midterms just to work on the robot

- your out of school for 2 weeks, becasue you back is so bad u cant walk, and you still attand most of the meetings

- your school kicks you out, by cutting power, and u think of trying to work in the dark with cordless tools

- u have two cars, and they both die, and you think of used extra robot parts to fix them (87 saab 900, front tire was ripped off, was thinking of useing pnumatics and ducttape to fix it. 94 sentra brakes fail and was thinking of using more pnumatcis to fix it)

-the only reason you go to school somedays, is just to work on the bot

- can down more than 2 pizza's in 30 mins

-are willing to drive 20+ hours, just to see your team at nationals(i hoping that we can go this year team 195, i need a nice drive)

When you're out bowling with some of your teammates and you don't see peoples scores you see team numbers and then match the numbers with the team names. Akuu knows what I'm talking about. :cool:

hehe, i hurt my back soo badly, that i wasnt able to go to school,let alone walk all that well. this happened on the 3rd through 5th week of the build, but i still made it to most of the meetings

When you're at a competition and on Chief Delphi at the same time.

(Thanks to the wireless network at UTC this weekend I was able to sit in the stands with my laptop with a wireless card and browse and post updates on CD while watching the comp.)

...when you have a spereate drawer for just FIRST T-shirts and only where them during the build or at any other FIRST / Team sanctioned event.

...when you create a perimeter using other clothes so that your pets don't get hair all over the FIRST attire when they go to lay down.

...when your driving on the expressway and you see a 18 wheel trailer heading towards the competition site and wonder if that trailer is carrying either robots or the field.

LOL! A couple of people from my team last year went ice skating and I remember hearing one of our team mates (I think it was Carlo) had has green safety glasses with him and told they lady "He built robots."

...when you've threatened non-FIRST people with duct tape and have actually meant it (my brother learned this the hard way. Unforantally...I also learned the hard way that my brother is alot stronger then I thought!)

I'm a short person failry thin and can be compacted to any size. I can fit in any duffel bag or cardboard box (hint hint - someone wanna take meto nats I can't go b/c of work but looking for aways to go)

~When bowling, as my score progresses, I see team numbers (and think of their names) rather than the number of pins I've knocked down. It's always a special occassion when 121 arises :D .

You notice a huge slow down in replies to this thread.
You only get a hair cut when a FIRST / Non - FIRST Event is going to happen.
Instead of being sick in bed you decide to surf CD b/c thats the ultimate cure for any sickness.
You feel like an outsider when you go on Robotics Trips with new team members on ure old team.

Your Senior-Project* involves (what else?) building robots.

*During our senior year at our school, you have to compleate a project that demonstrates leadership in order to graduate, so I'm going to lead others to building, programing, and de-bugging a balancing robot.

This relates to the CeBit Exhibition show happening in NYC May 25 - May 27.

......when the few kids that do shop up to represent the FIRST org, their school, and their robotics team, you give them all field resetting duties just so u (meaning me) can play with the music, field control, scoring part of the matches. hehe I gotta have some experience before 2005 gets here. I may want to field control NJ and NY. :cool:

.......after attending the said program you go to work in Team attire where everyone looks at you strange

... when you only where blue squares, silver hoops, or red triangles as earrings (also not me .. though i do have the squares and hoops, and made the triangles out of some duct tape .. and at the Canadian regional i linked them all together and wore them)

.. when you volunteer at the Wonderland FIRST event even though you have an ISU worth 10% of your mark and a test on Monday, an ISU essay and an ISU presentation each worth 10% of your mark and a test on Tuesday, a quiz and essay on Wednesday, a quiz and in-class essay on Thursday, and an exam on Friday.
