When you carry a whole "robot first aid kit" in the trunk of your car at all times--you never know when something will go wrong. :rolleyes: Two toolboxes, a mini compressor, powerstrip, extension cords, ect. Then you realize why you're lucky to get six months out of your Camry's rear shocks! :D

Exactly! This is the point of FIRST, to tie in the two worlds of academia with real-world application. Amazing, isn't it?

...you create a web page that has only one purpose, to feed you a new CD Spotlight every 17 seconds. You can even print your favorites!!! In true Tigertron, er, CD, colors of course! (it's zipped b/c i don't have it on an actual page, but it's lots of fun!)

When you hear the word lego in class the first thing that comes to your mind is FLL...then FIRST...then all the good times you've had there...and then your just not paying attention and daydreaming for the rest of the class about robotics... :p

during finals week,you carry around a FIRST folder to brainstorm in when you should be studying

when you can't sleep because of the anticipation, get up and go to robotics, and somehow, once you're there, are so comforted you can finally fall asleep in your mentors office, surrounded by metal shavings and running mills! :D

When you watch the superbowl just to determine where you sat and yell at the people sitting in your seat. And when you try the entire game to determine where your playing field was.

When you line up your stuffed animals and pretend to have a meeting after yours is cancelled again for weather... okay, so I didn't actually do this... I don't have enough stuffed animals... But I did dream that my team was part of a special edition of Survivor (which I've never even seen other than adds): FIRST Survivor! We lived in the school, sleeping in the hallway in sleeping bags. And for our first contest, eveyone had to name every single tool in the toolbox and say what it was used for, the person who guessed the least was out of there... I woke up wondering if they would accept twisty thingy and sharp pointy thingy and hammer thingy... wait, that would be a hammer...
