-When you lose part of your thumb on the robot, laugh, and then take a nick out of the robot because it's fair
-When you leave school early, speed to GM, and get there 4 hours too early, just to see what needs to be done
-When your varsity jacket has ROBOTICS embroidered on it!
-When homework becomes more and more of an annoiance
-When you wake up at 4:30 excited to go work on the robot, leave at lunch time for school, and leave after school, and leave robotics at 10:30, on a half day of school
-When your had problems because your last girlfriend was on a rival team.
-When you wake up excited about a new idea for another autonomous program
-When your wiling to kill someone for your sponsor

...when you stay at the work site all night despite a blizzard dumping 12-20 inches (not sure yet) of snow.

OR, if you're like me,

...when, despite your parents requiring you to stay at home because of the snow, you work hard at programming the robot by connecting to the computers using MS NetMeeting, use remote program sharing to actually use the PBASIC editor, and have them send you MPEGs of the results.

*sigh* you wake up in the morning and find bits of aluminum shavings and scrapings of steel blue layout fluid in your bed... actually this morning i woke up to discover a 5m nut stuck to my arm...

and you feel like crying when everything [expletive censored] up!

...when you start making bracelets and rings out of colorful zipties, while adding in the pnuemonics tubing and knuts and washers to make it prettier :)
