-when your violin teacher yells at you for having aluminum splinters in your fingers
-when you go out of your way to look for robot chicks
-you plan your routes from school based on a mental algorithm
-you go for more than 86 hours without sleep in Atlanta
-you pack up your entire computer desk, including 802.11 access point, whenever you go to the airport
-you mindlessly sketch triangles, circles, and squares linked together on your chemistry Scantron
-you have a habit of sucking up to random people on the street if they are wearing a blue collared shirt
-whenever you are in a commercial district, you scan the street signs for new sponsor ideas

Yeah, though I think 80 hours is understating it. Basically, it was three days plus the flyover of no sleep.

~you're looking through your photo albums, and you notice that 99% of the photos from the past three years are robotics things (and almost one whole photo album has been filled in one year..and only 10 pictures are not robotics related)

~you realize that you remember important things by their closesness in date to different robotics events.

when hearing the words "I need more Bawls" screamed from 10 rows down from you on Curie field no longer scares you because you kno it's just someone needing yet ANOTHER caffine fix. (maybe i hung out with Swampthing to much....)

~ on long road trips, instead of playing the "ABC's on signs" game, you play the "Name that Team!" game.

~ you wake up late for class (again) because you kept getting calls during the middle of the night from certain FIRSTers (they know who they are). :p

when ever you come across a sports playing surface you consider it the playing field.

you managed to get your kid sister hooked on FIRST and CD and yet she has no real team to speak of to even try to join ---- Long story and the why can't she start her own team in that school idea won't work.............like i said long story!!!!!!!

you continue to watch the elevator.wmv that was taken at the Marta in atlanta and in the background of that video you can identify the train as a Kawasaki train b/c the city you live in has purchased numerous models from that said company.

you look in your closet and more than half of all your shirts are from FIRST (team uniform shirts, free competition shirts from nationals, purchased competition shirts from post-season competitions, etc.)

I've been doing that every morning since I've gone to college :) .

~When bowling, as my score progresses, I see team numbers (and think of their names) rather than the number of pins I've knocked down. It's always a special occassion when 121 arises :D .

And Here I thought I was the only one that did that.

You notice a huge slow down in replies to this thread.
You only get a hair cut when a FIRST / Non - FIRST Event is going to happen.
Instead of being sick in bed you decide to surf CD b/c thats the ultimate cure for any sickness.
You feel like an outsider when you go on Robotics Trips with new team members on ure old team.

It's even worse when you have several team members going bowling. Then you can really get alot of team name out of your scores.


When you have carried some part of your teams robot around school one more than one occasion.

When you have taken an old team robot for a joy ride around your classroom and/or school.
