What are some things that you associate with first or the FIRST regionals?
 

As the first build season draws to a close, and the regional season starts up Im wondering what words, phrases, or thoughts that people are associating with FIRST in general and FIRST regionals.
I look forward to seeing your responses

FIRST regionals = the major rush of adrenaline when your robot pulls into the scoring zone with seconds to spare, lack of sleep, lots of techno songs that get stuck your head forever (even a year later I still remember), meandering around the city with the team, running around hotels late at night then being at the arena a few hours later, meeting lots of new teams, being the ambassador of goodwill and walking around with my twin (steph) passing out hartburn bags, scouting 4 teams at a time, watching the amazement in guys when i thought of strategies for the matches that actually worked, the feeling when you look up on the screen and see that your team scored the highest match of teh day, lying around the pit with the team when our day was over....good times.

-red hair
-good times
-hotel rooms..friends
-friday night par-ty
-crashing bots
-ruined drive train (poping chains)..lol, hopefully not this year
-FEMBOTS yay!

Chaos. Good chaos, of course.

People helping other people
Crazyness (the good kind)

People worrying if they will make it/be picked in the finals
Robots Being broken in their best rounds...

The list goes on and on!!

Makes me wish I had a team. :(

you....retired? coulda fooled the rest of the team Big Mike! you're still there terrifying the poor freshies that think you're gonna eat them. ;o) And you still do the crazy white boy dance!

FIRST Competitions:

1. Oh great, gawd, please don't tell me we need to take apart the gearbox again.
2. One of My Friends (she's on another team)...wait that's all the time...where is she?
3. My Friends (on other teams)...where are they?
4. fun stuff to do (revs up the DREMAL Tool)
5. enjoyable Chaos....Where'd the 6-32 tap go?...screwdriver please...No, not a flathead, a philips head!
6. Run! (Oh shoot, we need a battery!)
