No Social at NYC?? NP

Since it has been brought to my attention that there is no NYC Social, I suggest creating an event, this is the city that never sleeps and there is tons of stuff to do here. I wouldn't mind organizing it if enough teams are willing to show. Soif you guys wanna go play like laser tag or something i could arrange it. However, if u wanna do a sports event like soccer i don't think it should be a problem, we are after all at a Park. I've been there for Lego League and there is loads of space we wanna so somethoing outside. So any suggestions of what we can since we have no social?

yeah its all good. I have no idea what, but us on 759 will be looking for something to do when we're evicted from the pits.
Its not as if we can get the subway back home..

evildoughgrl and i have been talking about this and we are thinking of:

lazer tag
paintballing
getting and ice cream place like Baskin Robbins for the nite
Hard Rock Cafe

We need ideas! Usually the more people there are the cheaper it is at places that do lazer tag. Talk to your team! These socials are really fun for everybody, and I think we should try and do something!

Last year, our team left the team social and went to play a game of Laser Tag.

Originally, our team was going to partner up with 810 for a Laser Tag game, but it looks like they won't be going to the NYC regional.

If anyone else is interested in booking a match, our team is approximately 20 students. :) We could reserve a few hours or something.

sounds good in theory. My only concern is that if you laser tag arenas are anything like ours in Cambridge, you wont be able to fit more than 2 teams in at any one time. The advantage the social had was that there was just enough room for all the teams to be there.

On the other hand its pretty hard to sort out something that would be large enough to accomodat even 3 teams...

Can you organize?

Hi Evildoughgrl,
Can you help organize team a competition at
the Lazer Park.

Maybe create a team sign up sheet for Thursday?

I think it is 10 per team and you can reserve
team competition.

How about NYC Rock Climbing?

How about NYC Rock Climbing?

This could be a lot of fun for the FIRST teams!

(The City Climbers Club on 59th Str. and 10th Ave. is very good; Friday evening are very low)
