What kind of question is that? Of course...the schools that I applied to have a team or provide mentors to a team (except for Clemson but I's not planning on going there)! Now if you remeber the "homework" Dean Kamen gave us....(drum rolls)....we are to expand first generate support and teams where there isn't any and spread the message and goals of FIRST. So we do need to do our homework.....although it is optional....but its the BEST HW assignment I've been given!

i am going to Grand Valley State University for Mechanical Engineering and a minor in music. Taking my horse and a new computer. College will be great fun. I am coming back home to look at the bot next year and such.

MBiddy 10-03-2003 17:16

I'm a-goin' to the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. It's going to be crazy!

Amanda Morrison 10-03-2003 18:57

For the love of FIRST, come to Ball State University and help me out here!

< is pulling out her hair from the utter chaos and frenzied panic of starting a FIRST team...

:D

Josh Hambright 10-03-2003 19:13

Yeah, I got into USC and I might get into Caltech... can't make up my mind though... I'm gonna major in mech engineering, so I'm going to be helping to mentor teams in the So Cal area if I can.

Ive been accepted to Kettering, Rose Hulman, and Purdue. I plan on going to Kettering and double majoring in CS and CE. Kettering has a good co-op program and they even mentor a FIRST team.

What about the 3Ds Max award?
that is my job. his job is spinning around in a chair staring at the ceiling... <jk>:D

unfortunatly, I got the software 2 weeks late and had Never touched it before. needless to say I didn't finish.
woe is me

oh, well

Pamela 11-03-2003 19:23

RogerR,
I'm pretty sure that FIT works with team 386, Voltage if you wanted to be involved with FIRST in college, this would save you the trouble of starting a team there if they already work with one! If you did want to start a team for reasons beyond having one at FIT you can e-mail FIRST and request a sponsorship package to get things started!

I would never go to Purdue...40,000 kids in one University...you cant have any serious professor interaction w/o a "Take a number" box ;)
