d00d... is that... a printed circuit board on the outside of your bot?

I love it...

</drooling rant>

nicely done, cool bot.

RoboCoder 24-02-2003 19:34

PCB? you bet!

Yep, that sure is printed circuit board you see. We're team 1002 (the Circuit Runners, oh yeah) and altough we're a rookie team, we hope to be pretty competitive this year. (I'd say it turned out pretty darn well for a rookie year :cool:). Anyways, I'm the lead programmer, but I still know all about the robot so let me know if you have any questions :D

Willum 24-02-2003 20:26

Yeah... it looks like you guys are a stack protector, do you have plans to hunt out your own stack at the start of a match? Sensor or dead reck ability?

RoboCoder 24-02-2003 22:46

Stack protecting is one of many abilities of our robot, we went for a versitile one ;) anyways, as far as autonomous mode goes, lets just say that we arent limiting ourselves to one strategy nor one method of carrying out that strategy. We hope to remain flexible in our competitions :D

Willum 24-02-2003 22:58

it seems versatility is the way to go. i think our 11 auton_mode progs will demonstrate that when the time comes.
so says 871's co-head programmer.

Clean up your wiring, wouldn't want your robot to be usless because a a stray wire got caught and ripped.

The pic was taken before the robot was complete - Notice the circuit board on the sides, but not the back. It's still not perfect, but it's something we'll have to work on first thing at regionals. We think we'e running pretty close to weight right now, so we were saving finishing touches until we got an "official" weight.

impressive for a rookie bot good job guys
