Random

What is the most randomly funny or wierd thing you've ever heard/seen/done?

I like cheese and cheese-shaped accessories.

Warning: This thread could get interestingly odd. (at least, that's my intention :))

Carolyn Duncan 17-01-2002 02:37

I think this already happened... something like a dirty laundry thread from a while back...

Jeff Waegelin 17-01-2002 13:38

How's this for random:

Student 1: Where's Lindsey? Why is she not here?
Student 2: She's studying for a math test.
Student 3: What? Lap dance?

If that isn't random, I don't know what is.

Summmergrl2298 21-01-2002 23:07

i dont know, where IS lindsey?
wow she actually studied.
lap dance? no.

OtakuRob 21-01-2002 23:12

Well, our team is known in the school for it's wierdness, and as such I think the best comment came( oh god that's bad considering) this year..

Team member 1: So, we might get sponsorship from Pfizer?
Team member 2: Yeah, you know. They make Viagra.
Me: If we do our motto should be: Team 237 and Pfizer, look what we've erected now!

What do you all think??

Jessica Boucher 22-01-2002 02:44

Brandon, I was visiting another board similar to this (looked like it was powered by vBulletin)....and they had different smileys....including one with a sweatdrop.

If we had one, I would simply use that now.

Marc P. 22-01-2002 06:26

Actually, you have 10 seconds to START the trick OR COMBO. I got the score on Rio, it's easy to grind around the parimeter of the skate park (not the level)

P.S. Can you find the hidden area in Rio? I did :p

Is Rio the Quicksilver tour??? If it is then I did find the secret area, where you grind so many clotheslines it's unbelievable.

I like suburbia with the Ice the Ice Cream Man trick!!! That was cool! :D

OtakuRob 24-01-2002 20:49

On two subjects..

1) That GB game wasn't a game at all.. Farve was way off.. And Go Pats all the way..

2) Whatever the idiot Clock-boy says, just remember.. I never broke a monorail.. I may not be the best at THPS3, but I had only played it for a short time, at close to 4 or 5 in the morning.. And I never challenged him, I was simply the next in line to play..

We shall see who is superior in Florida, Elgin.. Oh, how we shall see supeeriority..

Marc P. 24-01-2002 20:53

No matter what anyone says about any game... I WILL ROCK YOU ALL IN PONG!!!

ATARI FOREVER!!!
(or at least via cheesy emulation :))

OtakuRob 24-01-2002 21:01

Atari!! Rock!!

Gotta play Warlords though, I loved that game.. Almost as much as Pong.. And, and, and, I might be able to get a friend to lend me their atari for nats if we're gonna start something here..

Just kidding, no hostilities here.. I don't think.. Must run ScanBrain now..

Marc P. 24-01-2002 21:05

I have an atari, I don't know if I can bring it to nats though... But... I do have a very nice emulator, along with all 511 atari game roms known to man, including but sure as hell not limited to, pong, tank, frogger, pitfall, etc. 511 games!!!

Marc P. 24-01-2002 21:07

^ I will be playing on my laptop at nat's for all those who want in :)

Find me in 38's pit, all are welcome :D

Anyone bringing their systems to the Nats? I might bring my 'Cube.

Marc P. 25-01-2002 16:16

I'll bring my 8 bit original NES >:-)

EddieMcD 25-01-2002 22:16

Game Gear (you know, that old SEGA handheld).

Eddie loves emulators too. In fact, that's how I play Pokemon, and old Genesis games. Oh, and I have an N64 emulator. :)

Marc P. 25-01-2002 22:24

Game gear kicks butt, never had one though. My cousin has an original Lynx hand held... for it's era, the graphics are amazing!!

Emulation, very much fun, I do sega genesis, NES, atari, game boy, SNES, N64, have worked with playstation, looking for dreamcast, PS2, etc.

Perhaps the most interesting: an 8040 Mac quadra :p

The most important question is, did it work? ;)

Matt who has empirical proof that robots help pick up girls....

SharkBite 30-01-2002 08:32

no, im sorry to say it didnt work for him.....

if my only criteria for chosing guys was pick up line creativity though, it would have worked

Maybe it's because you play flute Eddie. ;) Not that that's a bad thing but it's not what you should tell chics as a pick up line.

AdamT 31-01-2002 22:01

Yeah, cause telling someone you play the tuba is SOOO much better....

Right

Carolyn Duncan 01-02-2002 00:34

What's wrong with the tuba? You also play guitar.:D

AdamT 01-02-2002 00:39

Well, i was keeping the traditional band instruments.

i love my guitar. Pretty guitar.

OtakuRob 01-02-2002 03:40

No.. cloning is bad.. well, cloning me is bad..

Well, it was edited from the last post I used the name in, so I might as well censor myself this time round..

David Kelly 01-02-2002 14:37

band people are weird

Wetzel 01-02-2002 16:14

So they are...as are the drama people. Our team has a caged off section of the drama room for our machine tools and spread around the drama room to work. The things we find in the couches...

Carolyn Duncan 01-02-2002 18:03

There is a group on my team who are all involved with drama at their school. Let's just say things get interesting and when there's a play half the team is gone which basically eliminates a shift, because they all work together... silly...

Anne George 02-02-2002 16:05

Band people are not weird they are just different :) Though I am glad to say i am not one of them, anymore. But call me what you want, Band groupie, cheerleader wannabe, cheerleader reject, or band geek wanna be, I am now i am in colorguard(much better especially becuase you dont see the band directer as much).

Marc P. 03-02-2002 12:51

From Cheesy pick up lines to Band arguments.... Yea, this is pretty random.

Anyone listen to Apples in Stereo? If not, download "Dots 123"

It's random and makes no sense :)

mnkysp6353 04-02-2002 01:56

Sharkbite, thats so weird the exact same thing happened to me. I am bringing my hacked billy bass , my kilt, a row of animatronic bagels that sing and dance similar to the billy bass, and maybe my team if they behave.
The most random thing i have ever heard of is when my dad was working as a dj in Los Angeles for some radio station he put a man in a gorrilla suit and had him float around la in a hot air baloon as a promotion. That was so random and weird. my family is crazy

Stev3298 04-02-2002 18:07

HEY!!!!!!!!! leave the bagels out of it:mad:

Marc P. 04-02-2002 22:21

Bagels are GOD.

Wetzel 04-02-2002 23:07

I eat god for breakfast?

COOKIE 04-02-2002 23:13

COOKIES...

I think cookies are really good. I mean they are just so soft and gooey, and they taste really good too:D

Also there are just so many kinds of cookies. It is just so hard to pick what kind i want. I go crazy trying to pick one, they are all so good.

When i eat a cookie it makes me feel all warm inside;)

mnkysp6353 05-02-2002 03:26

No carolyn, god is not better then a bagel. I am insulted and disguested. Now you get no bagels at nationals. And to think i was going to make my animatronic bagel dancers sing a song dedicated to you.

It will now be dedicated to shark bite.

Carolyn Duncan 05-02-2002 04:39

If I'm not mistaken I said GOD, not god...BIIIIIIIIIIIG difference. ;) At any rate be my guest to have your lil' puppets play for shark bite. Just goes to show me that I wasn't really that important to you in the first place anyway. :p

Wetzel 05-02-2002 16:12

Got my voter card in the mail today!
Am now part of the voting constituancy!
I matter! w00t!

SharkBite 05-02-2002 16:13

whoa, what puppets? what did i miss?

mnkysp6353 05-02-2002 21:42

I was just kidding Carolyn. You are very important!
And they are not puppets they are animatronic, dancing bagels.

Wetzel 05-02-2002 21:47

How big are these animatronic bagels? Will they be shown at nats?

SharkBite 05-02-2002 23:15

i probably wont even be at nationals.... look....... odd numbered team :(

Wetzel 05-02-2002 23:27

:(
What regional(s) are you going to? I will be at VCU...

AdamT 05-02-2002 23:35

We'll be at VCU!!!! Wahoo!! But hey, if you have more then 3 QP, look out Friday, you can get a spot. That's what we're goin for! I figure that there will be a waiting list for those teams who already register AND take on of the slot arranged for award winners. All we can do is hope....

Summmergrl2298 06-02-2002 00:41

hey marc--mission accomplished, this thread got pretty random!! lol

mnkysp6353 06-02-2002 01:34

They are regular size bagels and yes they will be shown at nats.

mnkysp6353 06-02-2002 01:35

I am encoding the entire small world song for them too sing and also a couple others.

Wetzel 06-02-2002 01:36

Wetzel 07-02-2002 11:44

oooo...mass produced dancing animatronic bagels that sing its a small world....
:)

Carolyn Duncan 07-02-2002 16:06

Hey, uh, you want to show us a pic of these bagels? I don't know about anyone else but im interested to see what they look like. Hrm... what other songs will they play? Now I'm curious.

mnkysp6353 07-02-2002 20:11

I can program them to sing anything i want to. It takes a while to program each song because i have to program in the letters of the songs so that they will open there mouths. I will have a pic soon.
Any song suggestions?

mnkysp6353 07-02-2002 20:13

Marcp I will have to see how many i can produce. They are programmed in a linux enviorment so that will be a major problem if you dont have linux to run them.

1. I don't like American unless it's melted.
2. I'll eat mozzerella anytime of the day.
3. I dislike cheddar.
4. Provalone and Munster are ok.
5. Blue cheese should be outlawed.
