I think most of the inspectors will be professional enough to leave things like that out. Rivalries have no place in inspections, and I think most people realize that. I know there are teams I dislike, but I would never inspect them differently because of that. It goes against Gracious Professionalism and everything FIRST stands for.

I agree, and I think most people would do the same. However, most people does not mean all people.

I am going to wait and see how it turns out.

Some students may volunteer and think they know all the rules, while the volunteer inspectors really had to read through all the rules before they do work.

Having other team's member to help inspect will make sure the inspection get as detailed as possible, and should be a good thing for the competition. I remember at Silicon Valley Regional last year we were really stressed because a lot of robots takes their whole time until the end of Thursday to finish. Hopefully this will make sure there are more inspectors doing this.

Also, I am a little worried that there won't be enough students doing it, because teams rarely send their whole team on Thursday, and usualy their core team when they need all of them around the bot the whole day. It should vary from regional to regional.

Great job of FIRST to finally listen to teams and make this into the inspection process. We shall see how it works out.

I know our team sends the whole team on Thursday. It's good for scouting, and it's nice to have extra hands if you need them. That's why I'm not too worried about my team needing me. Most of the time, I just stand around and watch Thursday, anyways. Inspections will give me something to do.
