Allies

I know this is a relatively hard question, but what do you think are the best alliances you've ever seen up to date?

201 and 469 always made a good combo last year. We won the Buckeye Regional and IRI together. It was a good example of how two good goal grabbers could dominate the finals.

In 1999, the year of the floppies, Teams 27 and 71 paired up to win both the Midwest and Great Lakes regional. The two robots complemented each other perfectly.

I know that they ended up being paired together at Nationals that year. Does any one remember who eliminated them?

Last year one of the good ones, and I don't feel it is biased, was
247, 68, 274 ('da Bears, T3, RoboManiacs). Had a bad break during finals at GLR, but other than that was a great line-up.

The alliance that won Nat's 2 years ago, sorry cant remember other than 71, they were very efficiant. Only time they didn't win was when 71 fell over. (That was featured on somethingawful.com hehe)

ahh yes! 188, 48, 229

It was 45, 84, 111 that eliminated them to go to the finals. But I agree 27 & 71 had a good thing going.
