I kinda like this one:

'Remember Maine, To Hell With Spaine' - American chant before or after WWII (forgot which). I like it because it rhymes ;) But for real, it actually works now to...but now it'd be:

'Remember us, to hell with war' - just because i hate war.

And a quote from Eminem's song: "White America":

'The women and men who have broke their necks for the freedom of speech the United States government has sworn to uphold.' - This is because of the many things told on T.V. One minute you hear one thing, and then you hear another...which makes me believe that the government is trying to keep some stuff above the microscope.

These quotes aren't inteded to cause flames. If you wish to though, PM me.

And 1 more before I leave: 'Guns don't kill people, people kill people' - I'm not exactly sure who said this.

I guess this comes from when I was a varsity volleyball coach, but I can't help but love it... (this is exactly what FIRST is not about!) :)

This is a very good quote, Libby. It all depends on what the interpretation of winning is. It is also ironic, because winning means so many things.

Winning is working through tough times to find success. Winning is seeing a student go from a person who would rather cheat to a person who defends values and principle. Winning is knowing that you did the best you could possible give. Winning is receiving a "thank you" from a parent who knows that you made a difference in their kid's life.

FIRST *is* about winning, and it has made many of us winners... I am glad to be a part of it.

As you can see, I am a "glass half-full" kind of guy. Optimism is contagious.

"Play to win or don't play at all, but if you lose, take it graciously."

That's a saying heard often around these parts within FIRST teams.
