NYC Regional - How the heck do I read a subway map?
http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/nyct/maps/submap.htm
One the above mentioned map, Which line is the "C" line???? And what number or letter line is the red line that goes to 145th st near riverbank?? <me>tourist!!!<me\> |
the "C" is in blue and 145th street....I'm assuming you're talking by the west side of Manhattan...on the Hudson...the red line is the "1" or the "9" train.
Tip: Get the fun passes (they're like $4-5.00 something like that)....unlimited rides on MTA subways and buses for an entire day (after like the 4 fare you've already made up the difference in cost as if you were to pay for 4 seperate fares).....buy 'em at subway stations. I may live in FL but I'm a New Yawker ;), don't call me a downstater boy, I'm from the Island! Go Islanders, Rangers, the Bills, Knicks Yankees, and the Mets!!!!!!!....the true NY NHL, NFL, NBA, and MLB teams. Its Bills, Islanders (duh) , and Mets being from Long Island! |

1) walking around with Video cameras to shoot videos of landmarks like the Empire State Building. 2) they're straining their necks to see above mentioned places. 3) they're using maps and following signs....like... | Empire State Building oo | ---> ~ <--tourist 4) they're not jaywalking like the rest of us who cross when we see a break in the traffic (just go cause they'll have to run like 20+ people to go). sorry....but you just know who is and who isn't. |
The 1,9 to NYC Regional...
Good directions MRL180!
BTW: Take the 1 or 9 line uptown (red color) to 145th St. & B'way station and walk 1 block (West) to the entrance of Riverbank State Park but ....it is about 200+ yds. down hill from the entrance of the park to the complex. So if you are carrying a lot be careful. You can take the 145th St. cross town bus (west) which goes straight down the the Riverbank & next to the FIRST arena complex. If you happen to take the A,C,B or D (orange and blue line) to 145th St. station, then get off and take the 145th St. cross town bus to Riverbank Park. :D |

Theres a problem with that map.... The 40 amp braker is locted on the down town side of Battery park, its also connected to the negative terminal of Penn and has to do the loop to Broadway.
If you take the "A B C" oh then its so eelimentry, its gonna "B" or 1 2 3 its sooo easy. Dont take a fast line as they are prone to "Speed controlers" and dont stop at Clarksville. LOL Your best bet is take a cab. :) |
