Music at regionals

I thought that the choice of music at the regionals was tasteful and, overall, appropriately diverse. I would have chosen differently, but we each have our individual preferences. All I'm saying is that the music was surprisingly tolerable!

Yes, it was actually decent for the most part. They even played "Jungle Love" by Morris Day and the Time ;-)

Hrm, I wonder how suprised Andy B was that I knew the lyrics and the dance moves to that song ;)

SkitzoSmurf 10-03-2003 21:52

I agree.
I enjoyed making a fool of myself to Saturday Night Fever

Jeff Waegelin 10-03-2003 21:53

I heard it got a bit repetitive, though. It always does, unfortunately. At least it's decent music, though.

Everything I heard at BAE, was great, I heard everything From the Orginal "American Woman" to T.A.T.U, and I only heard Sandstorm once!!!

Any metal?

I was surprised at what a good musical selection they had. Although it did a little bad towards the end when they played that "Too Sexy" song. Ick.

DJ,

Step aside. :)

Back in the day, Morris Day and the Time were the thing. I am definitely a product of the 80's, and those were definitely the glory days.

At St. Louis, I was pleasantly suprised that they played "You Got Another Thing Comin" by Judas Priest. Now, if they only would play more Van Halen and Accept.

If every FIRST DJ could just get David Kelly's playlist, then all would be right with the world.

I agree. But I was so excited to be there I even danced to Avril Lavigne so I guess I didn't really care. =P

They played some Metallica and Pantera at Sacramento, but you guys got Judas Priest!? I feel so cheated! Actually, sadly, I didn't get to listen to too much of the music, specifically. I had to keep on my toes, trying to pay attention as best I could, for the entire competition. Queueing is fun.

Heh, I love that 80's Power Rock / Metal, and even though I don't know the dance moves, like DJ, I can still sing along to Jungle Love with the best of them!

VCU Regional

I'd have the say the music at the VCU regional was awesome. It wasn't cheesy or nerdy. A touch of techno here and there, some old but good songs, some pop songs. But always setting the right mood. Bravo!
