Thank you! I printed that.
Our hotel is supposed to supply breakfast.
But your post made me brainstorm - mmmm, treat teams to Krispy Kreme, then realized I "can't" bring it in.

BTW, for the first year our team is going to buy lunch for the team and eat it picnic style at the regional. Any clues about nearest McDonald's, Burger King...and who takes debit cards?

Everyone's on their own for dinner. Any clues about surrounding cheap good eats?

And I have a few parents concerned about the surrounding area's safety. Clues?

The neighborhood is generally safe, but the area west and south of the fairgrounds gets a little rough. There is only one resturant in walking distance, a small Mexican place just across McDowell Road, east of 19th Avenue. A short drive to 15th ave and Thomas will get you to Hamburger Works (a little expensive, but very cool burger place, a sit down place), a sandwich shop call McGurkees, a Chinese buffet called Yums and a new Iranian/Persian restaurant. Everything else is several miles away. Also, I'm not real sure about the map there, because that Krispy Kreme is by Arizona Mills, which is on the opposite side of town from the competition.

Well that should make it easier to bribe the judges. =P

SO GLAD you guys let us in on that.

Your team was so exciting to watch, a great bunch of kids and adults, I was bragging about you to my Phoenix friend who was there Sat afternoon, and I was rooting for you all the way.
