Chesapeake Regional - need info!

I'm trying to find out info on how my team is doing. Unfortunately there at the Chesapeake Regional and i'm stuck at college. :( I don't think any of my team members will have internet access so if anyone who is at the Chesapeake Regional reads this could you give me and the other FIRST-a-holics here some info on whats going on so far (stacking attempts, autonomous trials, anything) I'm obviously especially interested in team 506 but any info would be nice, even though today is just the practice day. Thanks in advance.

Who won team spirit?

Ian W. 15-03-2003 18:24

365 won the team spirit award (was there really any challenge? :p).

all in all, the chesapeake regional was fun, even if 810's robot didn't work till the minute we tossed it in the crate. SPBLI however, i hope we can do better :).

good job on all the teams that competed though, it was an amazing regional :D.

Sparky's 2 for 2! Good job guys!

365, can't wait to see you at Philly!

Spirit

Was there really any competition?!

Well YEAH!........=)

Wasn't a CRAZY crowd.....but pretty spirited.

I heard MOE sticks occasionally......but the 1027(?) Scottie dog mascot, a few bird mascots, a Diablo guy (87), and some team 25 girls were dancing alot. And the whole Penbrook(?) Academy Team was nonstop! I thought for sure they'd get the spirit award.

But this year the spirit award seems to have evolved........as if it takes judge interviews into account more.....not just a few hours of observed behavior.

I thought that the 2nd matches of MOE's 1st Elimination round, and our Semi-final round were REALLY exciting, no one knew who was going to win, even at the last second!!!

Lets just say GeroniMOE lives up to it's name guys! :D
