Converting CAD!?

I don't know CAD, but I do know AutoSketch! Is there anyway to convert 2d images to cad and layer them? And then bring them to MAX to make easy rooms. I have the blue prints of my school in AutoSketch but Sketch doesn't convert to max its 2d. I want to make the robot that I have modelled run around the school into different classes! I need the school though!

A little help (hopefully)

I know I'm gonna catch some flack for this one but...Technically.... 3D Studio Max is not a true CAD system... It was originally intended as a suppliment to CAD softwares to do imaging and also to be used as a stand alone 3D animation package.

Ok, now to my question, do you have any other CAD systems??
AutoCAD, Solidworks, CAD-Key, or anything like that??

If you do, you might be able to convert it into a .sat, .iges, .dxf, or other equivilent file to then send in to 3D Studio as a recognizable 3d unit..

Don't quote me on this though, I have in fact not used this AutoSketch program you speak of and don't know it's limitations.

I know a program called PolyTrans 3D or NuGraf can convert different 3D files to other 3D files but I've tried it myself, and I don't like it too much. If you want the link, here it is: Okino
