I've watched every regional I've had the chance to and have seen pictures of every robot that has released pictures(atleast I asume I've seen them all). Anyways, I've seen a couple hundred robots and from what I've seen you guys are the only team with this capability.

we can actually. our side wings can pivot to go flush with the HDPE and robots can crawl on top of us.

276, the mad cows, did that to us yesterday when they tried to get us off the ramp...it didnt move us off, but they basically made us pop a wheelie. but, we won that match and got 251 points for it, so hey :D

I saw that. That was totally awesome. Kudos to the dual Indianapolis teams for that. Indiana Rocks!

Hmmmm....

I think we've got ya beat :D

In one our our matches in Pittsburgh we drove up and over team 322's robot. It was actually really cool, and it didnt cause any damage (atleast i hope it didnt). Hopefully I can find a picture of it from my brother's camcorder.

Did you plan on doing this? i.e. is it a design feature, or did it just happen?

Gadget470 16-03-2003 11:14

seeing as it's a roughly 14º incline (same as the mesh ramp) I'd say it is intentional. All robots that can get up the ramp can get on their back (as long as they don't change orientation [i.e. falldown bots])

Team 975's robot is designed to do this, too. We have geared ramps that can extend. We didn't use it at the VCU regionals because we had difficulties controlling the ramp extension, but hopefully will perfect the program.

Here's a picture of us teamed with "Sparky" (384)
