You probably haven't followed some of the other regionals which went in basically the same fashion. Some of the matched were really exciting though, but any match where you drive over a robot and park on them at the end makes me smile (Where's that play of the day this year? :( ).

Great Lakes Regionals was awesome! We didn't make it to the semi finals but hey, It was fun just being there!:D I'd like to thank all of our alliances for making this an unforgettable experience!:p

Hailfire 22-03-2003 20:09

Thanks to Team 783 for being our alliance partner in two matches. It was a lot of fun. Thanks to all of our alliance partners for helping too. Congrats to 302, 67, and 226 for their victory today. See you all at Nationals.

Matt Reiland 22-03-2003 20:16

Thanks again 302 and 67 for picking us for your alliance!

302 was incredible playing in every match of the elimination rounds. Team HOT you guys are the only ones I saw there that could efficiently stack (and carry 6 across the ramp) fantastic robot. Thanks again we are so excited to be able to now go to nationals!!

Congrats to all of the finalists, it was an incredibly tough crowd.

Wildstang, Nachi, Rush you guys were incredible out there

Hailfire 23-03-2003 07:33

Yeah, there was a lot of good teams out there. 67 was a really good stacker and the only successful one. Our original plan was to do something very similar but it didn't work anyway. The stack of 6 I found was amazing until I saw them fall. But still, there was a lot of good matches out there.

Jeff Waegelin 23-03-2003 11:51

I'd like to thank our alliance partners, 33 and 280. You guys were awesome! We got a tough break there in the semis, but your performance was outstanding.

I'd like to thank teams 322 and 71 for picking us. The finals were so close, but you both did a great job. It seemed kind of funny since our alliance was kind of a dream team. 71 winning at buckeye, 322 winning at pittsurgh, and us getting 2nd at pittsburgh.

I liked the pittsburgh regional a little bit better it was smaller and i saw quite a few more interesting robots. But i did like how people started chanting "no more junk" when we went up for the imagery award.

I wonder if anyone will reactivate the forumn complaining about people yelling "hey!" at random intervals. I enjoy it. If i wasn't part of my team, I would probly really hate our team. We are so annoying.

:)

Congratulations to everyone. It was nice seeing my friends on 217 and 226 make it to the final round, even though they were competing against each other. We shared a building with 226 and we worked together often (especially while we were building the playing field). It was great to see them do well.

My team finished with an 18th place ranking. Not bad, but we didn't get chosen for the quarterfinals. There's always West Michigan...

Any chance you mean 27 instead of 71?

Quentinfool 23-03-2003 13:21

oops. yes i did mean team 27. 71 wasnt even there. Sorry rush. I cant wait to see 71's robot next weekend...they are sure to have something interesting.

I would like to thank team 27 and 217 for the great job they did with us in the finals. We had to start team 27 and 217 in the first round of the championship round because we broke one of our transmissions in a tough semifinal round. They did a great job of getting the lead that we wanted in the first round, unfortunately we couldn't't do much to help 27 in the second round who still did a great job of almost clearing then number of totes we needed to win. Congratulations to team 302, 226, and 67 for the win, you guys were very tough. Hope to see everyone at Western Michigan and the Nationals.

What about our team with our incessant yelling of AAAA =)
It seemed to rather catch on with a few teams but then some people were saying that it wasn't our chant to be saying... now that was confusing because it was our chant starting at nats 2 years ago. =P

Gimmie an A!

Gimmie an A!

Gimmie an A!

Whats that spell?

Ahh great lakes definately had its moments this year, when 217 won the imagery award the front rows of our team all stood up and did the chicken dance =) good job on the award and being a finalist!

SteveA 23-03-2003 14:05

oh yes i bet alot of people are waiting to see what 71 will come up with this year. Watch it they might be able to flip over the side of the ramp in auto, i would just love to see any team do that it would be quite "innovative". Very great job at great lakes everyone i had an awsome time there and im anxiously waiting to see everyone out at the midwest regional.

Well hopefully we can make it to nationals, doubtfully though. Next year at GLR and nats though =)

Gimme an "O"

It was nice seeing a team as spirited as yours at the competition.
