Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Oooooooooooooooooooo

I am honestly surprised we didn't get picked for eliminations but I'm not upset over it. We did well, I'm proud of what we accomplished. We went home with 2 awards, one of which is sending us to Houston!

Not as many tip-overs as I expected. 67 made a very nice save after almost falling over. Was entirely luck that they uprighted but it was still neat. I was surprised at how often the Thunderchickens tipped, I thought they had a lower CG than they did.

A lot of neat matches and not much for seemingly fixed ones. I was rather annoyed with the non-random match listings but it's too late to do anything now.

All I can say right now is: "Dip your BOT in the CREEK...Go 1037!"
(In reference to a team poster at Great Lakes:D )

Congrats to 302, 226, and 67! That was an awesome match :)

Wildstang brought along a full selection of equipment provided by SOAP to record all the matches. I imagine they'll be up on www.soap108.com soon.

One of our team members recorded some of the matches. He's going to make VHS copies and maybe even DVD's out of it. The only thing is, I don't know if he recorded Wildstang's match(es).

A Wildstang team member digitized the GLR matches for the SOAP site. I believe Kenny is in the process of getting them on the SOAP server as I type this. Soon you'll be able to see all the matches.

Yeah, that also depends on how big the file is. Especially when you have a 56k modem connection. ;)

How did Great Lakes manage to avoid opponent agreements?

Congratulations to all the teams at Great Lakes on a Great Regional. I wish that we had been there.

(I am originally from Toronto, Canada and I head up to the Great Lakes area nearly every year, to a little island near Blind River, Ontario -- 100 miles east of Soux St. Marie. Just hearing about the Great Lakes makes me a bit home sick.)

At the risk of bringing up a subject that has been declared unfit for the "dinner table", I would sincerely like to know how the Great Lakes Regional managed to avoid "opponent alliance agreements"?

(I tried sending an email to one of the teams, but didn't hear back.)

Our regional is coming up and any info would be appreciated.

Petitions?

Meetings?

Written requests?

Other?

Nothing at all, except the wonderful gracious professionism of the teams?

(Do me a favor and keep all responses friendly to everyone, so this thread doesn't get shut down before I get an answer.) LOL
