Kokomo, Indiana---about 50 miles north of Indianapolis

Unfortunately, Kokomo Indiana has little in common with the place described in the Beach Boys' song with the name Kokomo.

VIRGINIA! I lived on the beach up there before I moved south to Florida about, 7 months ago. There aren't many songs about Va, although we do get a few mentions in some, but we do get plenty of bands who come out of there. I liked it up there, sorta. At least people there can drive. If the rest of you never have to drive in Florida you are really lucky, and if you can get out of driving here do it. You will thank me.

Do you mean "The Presidents of the United States of America" and the album "Lump"? There's also "Pure Frosting" the self titled debut and "Freaked out and Small". Then there's that remake of "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles... All of the band members sing, Chris, Dave, ad Jason. You got me on the puppet part tho.

Appleton, Wisconsin...

"What is there to do around here? Oh lots of stuff! We go bowling, throw stuff off of bridges, go cow-tipping..."

(Actually, no cows in Appleton, but they aren't far.)

A. Leese 02-02-2002 18:47

I'm from the middle of nowhere..yea...

I'm from Stuart, Florida. Where is Stuart, exactly? We're on the east coast about an hour north of West Palm Beach, two hours north of Miami, and two hours south and east of Orlando. Take the big lake in the middle of the state, chop it in half and go to the little inlet on the east coast and you have found Stuart. Luckily I'm getting out of here in a year and a half and going to college in the "big city" of Tampa (that would be north and west of O-town for the geographically impaired).

~Angela who is from the "south" but does NOT have a southern accent, contrary to popular assumption

Katie Reynolds 02-02-2002 18:50

Don't forget...
