how?
could i ask your strategy on getting this many points?
is your robot fast enough to get boxes and then to your stack? how did you guys get these high scores? |
We were on the losing end of a match which, for a short time, yielded the highest Q-point total in the country. Our partner did not have a robot, and on the autonomous run, our robot and one of our opponents got to the top of the ramp directly across from each other at about the same time. Our robot tried to climb up the box between the two robots and turned upside down. The other alliance pushed our inverted machine to the top platform, scored both of their robots, and had a fairly good score from boxes.

High Score
The match with 47 and 519 was a great partnership. The game plan was good and most important the opposing two teams were super at the same task. these teams were 240 and 453.
The result of who won or lost took several min. No one knew for sure. The comment from our drive team as soon as the match ended was concern over not taking out their stack. That was an error on their part. It all worked out well. "Sometimes your failure leads to your success". A famous quote by someone I am sure. |

The highest score in St. Louis was 327. Was the highest in the nation at one point. I believe that the highest score will be set at the Midwest Regional because of all the veteran teams. Hopefully my team will be part of that record!

Yeah, I'm still dazed from that score, team 233 scoreing 233 points. That was a great match, I hope you all got to watch some of the feed from UCF, it was an awesome regional. Thanks Ash for giving me the credit for that save :) It really was amazing to see an 8 stack stand under attack.

Some interesting? points about the match: * HP's stacked 8 in 7 seconds..and got to the mats in 10s. * The stack wasn't perfectly nested and teetered a few times during the match * 408-roboticks had a great chance to knock it down and missed (actually they did nip it) ... then 233 defended very well. * 233's autonomous carried it to the other side of the field - a key element. KA-108  |
About that....
The Roboticks put up a good fight... but I don't think they could see their robot...what with the robots and the boxes...we were having the same problem...lousy lowriding robot :D ...anyway, hope to see some of you guys at Seattle and Nationals...
