Rutgers Regional- who plays soccer?

As you may have seen in earlier posts, the Brazilian team has challenged the locals to a friendly game of soccer during the off time at the competition next week. We are looking at lunchtime on Thursday in a short sided game on a back parking lot there. Free subs, basic FIFA rules, no offside?.

Soooo- I am looking for local players from the teams attending to make up a squad for the game..

I think there will be a trophy at stake here- or maybe just some soft drinks. I don't know.

Anyway, if you want to be on the "Joisey Allstar Squad" let me know or drop by the pits for team 25. Of course our friends from Pa and other local states are also honorary joiseyana. I think our Brazilian friends might be a bit surprised.....

See you all there.

Ben Mitchell 29-03-2003 23:17

You can probably pick up some guys and gals from Team 303 to play.

I'll see what I can do - though I'll probably be occupied doing doing my Excel database again. :( ;)

actual Brazil is Portuguese-

but soccer does flow in the blood of every Brazilian and that makes our game a fun event and a great challenge. Futbol is the game in every Brazilian village and school. And they even have several similar games for the beach and against walls.

Hopefully we will give them a fun time. They've come a long way and we are happy to have them. And if you want to rib them a little dress in sky blue and white stripes....the Argentina colors
