He better post some if he plans on not having his team's robot sabotaged at Nat's.. I can just see John bubbling with angst ;) A lot of angry people might be angry at one dwarf... :) Hurry up with those pictures!

Can't Wait

I'm exhausted from the first day of Philadelphia, but everyone knows what that feels like.

Joe3 and I are waiting in anticipation to see what awesome bot was built this year, even though we're half asleep...hope the robot doesnt break tomorrow because we'll be too tired to fix it. lol

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE, now lets see these pics

i dont know much about about their bot, but from what i heard in cleveland from an engineer on their team their battery is low in about 5 seconds..thats all he would say, expect that they dont really need it after then..but if they have a "flailer" i might be wrong

Gadget470 27-03-2003 23:03

why was an engineer from their 71 in Cleveland... that's what I want to know. For some reason I think Beatty is smarter than that to be able to use that much electricity that quickly. It would take a short somewhere to lose it that fast.

Mmmm... Toaster Bot

Mullen 27-03-2003 23:05

in cleveland cuz his kid is on the purdue team..yeah, im wondering if this is true it seemed quite odd when i first heard it too

Old batteries

We ran into a similar problem using old batteries for teasting, but when using 2003 batteies in Az, it lasted us the whole match!

No, it wouldn't take a short. Last year we experienced this problem at VCU for the few matches before we tore apart our drive (we were getting to the goals in 1.6 seconds). We were actually drawing so much current from the battery at once that it would destabilize- ruining the battery. Needless to say, we realized our error after a few matches and corrected it to save the batteries.

I guess I'm lucky

I am in Arizona where it is still 9:13, I have got plenty of time to wait!

I just want to remind everyone this is NOT a chat room. No matter how tempting, try not to post up a storm with short "responces" after the pictures are posted...

PS - Beatty is keeping me from my Rigid Body Dynamics HW...

Eric Bareiss 27-03-2003 23:13

I can push the refresh button all night.

Cory 27-03-2003 23:14

that teaser was very deceiving...I got my hopes up for nothing

[edit]

i think the crash was unrelated to the beatty refresh-a-thon. But lets try to keep this kind of thread where it belongs: a chat room.

Thanks
