Good point...I guess under the proper circumstances, any robot can flip. What I meant to say is that our ram provides a measure of protection against flipping. We'll just how well that works in Rutgers... :)
|
we only flipped once
Team 222 only managed to flip once during a collision in the autonomous mode with our partner....before all was said and done, three machines we piled together and even with the pile up we were able to right ourselves using our arm! Our machine suffered no damage and no broke parts in two regionals!

We flipped a couple of times. Everytime our robot went at full speed it popped a wheelie but we wheelie bars to prevent this.
The wheelie bars weren't enough when we reached the ramp so I and the other driver had to learn how to drive in a way to avoid flipping over. We also got flipped over by a robot that picked up the front of our robot. We were so surprised. :ahh: I thought that was illegal but the judges said that it was fair. I was not sure. Ah well. I trust the judges. (this is sucking up....lol) |
Not judges, referees!
Not judges, referees!
DON'T GET THEM MIX UP! Judges don't know the game rules and don't need to know. :D ;) |
anyone's bot can flip...i spent the last two weeks of build season driving like a maniac (go figure we'd win most agressive driver in pitt) and trying to flip our bot in n e way...we didn't even flip when 276 climbed on top of us...unfortunatly...in elims, we got stuck on another bot, who drove us backwards and flipped us...but we got back over...and, there is no way to flip us when our slapper is down....our bot is cool this year ;)

flipped lol!
we have been flipped and we even did a somersault but our robot is robust and we can right ourselves very quickly so it doesnt matter if we get flipped.
|
Ooh Yeah!!!
Forgot about that.
I blame it on my lack of sleep. I replied very late at night, past midnight. I do think the judges and referee do their job with great excellence (sucking up again).:yikes: |
We did drive on top of another robot during the elimination rounds. That was the closest we came to flipping. It seems very difficult to flip this machine over, but anything can happen.
|
Anyone flipped at simi-finals or Quater Finals so far?
|
we had a match during the semis with 236 and 782 both flipped and couldn't get back up. Very tense. The other alliance didn't take advantage of it though.
|
our robot is under 14 inches and we still have flipped several times. weve notice that trying to push somebodt off the koh will flip us. Our wheels are conceeled in the frame, so its not like they are driving up on the other robot either.
