Yes. Ken Leung does rock.

Ken Krieger doesn't read CD, but he rocks, as well.

I just read this on the FIRST site and I knew I had to post it here. Looks like you guys beat me to the punch. Great job Ken, glad to see you get some recognition for all that you have done.

Leon Machado IV 30-03-2003 21:30

Ken's our man!
If Ken can't do it
Then, well, not many can!!!

*disgraced by attempt to do a cheer*

Go Ken!

mtaman02 30-03-2003 21:49

congrats guys

hope many more FIRST graduates follow in your steps providing the excitement and volunteer assistance that FIRST requires to make each competition eventful and memorable

Ken Leung 31-03-2003 02:11

Thanks everyone! It was (and still is) definitely a very fun and wonderful experience for me (and stressful and sleepy too ;) ). I totally didn't know what to say when Jason said Ken and my name during the award ceremony.

But anyway, I never did all these for the award. Everytime all I have to do is look at the people around me, and know all the work is worth while.

Also, like Jim said, the other Ken (the 1st Ken) rocks, and is my biggest mentor both in FIRST and in life. Couldn't have done all these without his gudiance and support.

Then there is Bill Gold, who I owe so much for helping me out every single time. He's one of my best friend in FIRST, and I couldn't have done all these without him.

AlbertW 31-03-2003 02:43

anyone ever notice that all the volunteer-of-the-year people are GRT/ex-GRT?

hm...

FotoPlasma 31-03-2003 02:50

Well, at least the two of them didn't walk away empty handed, besides their trophies, as seen in this photograph...

Bling bling!
Cash, Money, Millionairs, FIRST STYLE!
But really, who would deserve it as much as these guys, right? Hehehe...

;)

Wetzel 31-03-2003 03:29

Jim, what you forgot to mention was how they won the award in the first place.

Good job you two, insprational you are.

You guys really deserve it, I'm so glad you're finally being recognised for all the hard work you've put in over the years. See ya soon!

Thanks for the kind words Ken. You and KenK definitely earned those awards. You’re a great person to talk to, and even better to work with. I hope you don’t move too far away if you transfer. It’d suck not to be a BART trip or a short drive away from hanging out with you. Thanks also for all your hard work in the WRRF. Among many other WRRF credits, you and Jason pulled off a great Cal Games last fall, and I’m really looking forward to this year’s event. Keep it going buddy, and let me know if you need any help. Take care, and congratulations once again.
